1. I actually bought one of these Jack and never installed it thinking it'd be nice to be able to do closing based on (no) motion sensing. I might be asking too much here.
2. Yes. Network driver is installed. I’m not in front of my programming, but I believe I programmed off of the Room Control driver. It was seriously the easiest thing you do. Add the Room Control driver to that room and go to the programming tab. From the RC driver I think it was like when enter listen mode? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. A remote dealer can do this for you very quickly and reasonably. msgreenf has done these Hue’s more than he can likely count and he’s very fair, always available and excellent to work with. MSG him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. It’s definitely a great deal for someone looking for Araknis APs. If Ari has them they’ll be in excellent shape. He doesn’t sell crap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. Awhile back, I came into a dozen like new, used R720 WAPs. These were salvaged from a Gander Mountain Store that went out of business. We only had them installed there for a month when they called and asked us to buy back the system before closing. In any event, I am installing 3 of these Ruckus R720 WAPs in a large home for a client tomorrow. He is insisting on two things, both of which are making me uncomfortable. 1. Attic Installation (secured to a truss). It’s Pittsburgh and seasonal temperatures can be pretty brutal. In terms of positioning however, the area is ideal. In our offices, we have several inherited indoor WAP’s in a plenum ceiling and they are fine, but I don’t get the drastic temps. 2. He is also insisting these are directional and should be ceiling mounted. I definitely have ceiling mounted these, but I’ve also wall mounted or lazily sat backside down on top of permanent shelving in my home or our own warehouses. Any thoughts? 6. I have a pantry that my family only knows how to open. If my memory serves me, back in 2017, my son once actually closed it. I am OCD and at least 3 times a day close every door, turn out every non-used light, display etc and check t-stats. Does anyone know if an automated closer for interior doors? Mine are all solid 8’ doors, so a little heavy (not crazy heavy). I’m looking to automate a close routine for the pantry based off of no motion in the pantry. 7. This issue is resolved. Plugged into my laptop and Voila! Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

11. Test executing the push notification versus the lock programming also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. Ate you getting other push notifications? Are you able to get a notification if you execute the programming in ComposerHE? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. Thanks. If it is, I can't find it. Tried last night. When our techs get back this afternoon, they are all Pakedge certified. I can get it I'm sure. I was just trying to take care of this to ship them out today...
14. Boy do I know it. I don't have access, but it would have made my life easier, that's for sure. Is this something I can get a link to?
15. As of tomorrow, the Nucleus is $1,299 Shipped anywhere in the US with a year of Roon subscription. The Nucleus+ would be $2,199 same way. C4 Driver is free. Lowest advertised price is $1,459 and $2,559 plus tax and shipping. I discount and include shipping.
16. I was trying to factory reset 4 WAP's (Pakedge WX-1) and I couldn't get it to reset the ip to the default 192.168.1.250. I tried so many different things that I lost my place and now I am able to scan with fing and find the mac, but there's no IP. Any ideas? Couple of things I tried and this may be where I screwed up. I had these dhcp reserved, so when I couldn't get it to default back to .250, I thought maybe the router was holding that reservation for the mac (even after I deleted it months ago). So I recreated the reservation and then deleted it again. Now (and not everytime) Fing picks up the mac, but has a blank ip. I even thought maybe the lease was holding it, so I changed the general dhcp lease from 12h to 2m and waited. No luck.
17. Sorry, didn see your post before I posted. Wasn’t aware of the LEAP drivers, I have to check them out also. Good deal, sounds like a no brainer. I struggled with the issue never realizing I could use the RA2 Select. What about native Lutron Scenes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18. Backbone (Modem, Router & Switches) versus WAP’s. If you can’t legitimately support the network yourself, then spend the money and be at the mercy of your dealer. Every dealer has their comfort brand/models. Use the router/switches they can maintain. WAP’s are simple stuff, I don’t see issues with using whatever you like. Ruckus is my choice for AP’s now. Very Fast & Very Dependable ...and set up by a less experienced user in less than 5 minutes. lippavisual was my inspiration for Ruckus and I’ve never looked back. My guys are Luxul guys and unless a client insists on another brand, they are now using Ruckus APs on our networks because of my solid experience with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. You’ll have to ID the ones over 50 to the RA2 driver or start from scratch with the RA2. Pain, but worth having all associated with the RA2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. Use the RA2 driver. I had the same issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. I know this has been asked and answered numerous times, but I don't know that a best practice has ever been established. Assuming one was starting from scratch (door station -wise) and money was no issue, is there a solution that would allow for "instant" popups (like a PIP) of a snapshot or vid of the door at a button press? I personally have gotten it to work a bunch of different ways, and certainly on a T3 is fastest/easiest, but I am talking about on a Television? My ways take FOREVER for the video of snapshot to appear (ie tv or switch has to change inputs to OSD and that takes forever sometimes). I sold a system to a family that tells me that "this" is the only reason they wanted Control4. They had visited the home of a friend and when someone pressed the doorbell, the TV's all paused and a snapshot appeared on the screen for 1 minute. with some sort of "dismiss" type (like an announcement on a T3 or OSD). What door station, brand, type, what displays, what method?
22. @lippavisual Thanks always. That driver is a really good overlooked tool... Thanks for the reminder. It definitely solved the video audio playing when an audio source was selected for that particular room. I haven't had a chance to delve in regarding the grouped audio or video display (during audio) issue yet, but just pointing me in that direction opened up a lot to work with.
23. Thanks again lippavisual I’m trying to figure out where it comes into play here. I definitely use the Room Control Driver in nearly every room for keypad/music. I apologize that I don’t see how to use it for either scenario above. You always know the little nuances, so thanks for responding. Can you shed some light? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
24. When I have all of my audio back to Sonos again, it's all working well. For one of the rooms, I have a Port inputting into a Denon AVR for a theater room. I am not using the 12v trigger, since I figured I would need programming anyway to tell the AVR what input to switch to.. I have it all working with programming, but if I group a room from that room, and then switch that room to a video source, the other grouped rooms continue to play the stream. Anyone think of a way to shut those streams down programmatically (or otherwise) when I refocus the theater to a video source? Also, how can I get the display to show media info when I launch a Sonos stream? I'm a Roon guy, but I have two other friends that are 100% Sonos that are having this same issue and I am trying to replicate. Thanks in advance.
