  1. I think we may have discussed this but o do believe you can expose the Bluesound Spotify driver everywhere, but since you only have the one node, you just cannot steam 2 simultaneous instances. This is true for any streamer. The native (Ryff) and Autonomics (Mirage MMS) steamers have multiple streams (ie Core5, Core3, Core1, MMS-5e, MMS-3e, MMS-1e) …where the numeric portion of the product name is the simultaneous streams. Bluesound sounds fantastic, but look at Mirage MMS-3e and get 3 simultaneous streams. (Or 5 with the 5e) if you want a more robust Spotify integration. I don’t have one in hand right now (2 on demo), but when I get one back I’ll send you one to try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I loved the Bluesound Node. There were a few things that I didn’t like regarding playlists for keypads or something. I can’t remember. But at one point I was all Bluesound. At my office I have a cutting edge current C4 setup with native & Mirage (only for Spotify). At home I settled for HEOS since I have 3 Denon AVR zones and it made 100% sense fir grouping. HEOS integration is not that common I noticed, but it’s very very good. Far better than Sonos (integration-wise). And the HEOS (Denon Home 550) sound bars sound beautiful. In order of my preference: All in all I find native to be best (albeit I don’t love having to open the Spotify app to use Spotify) Mirage a very close second (more robust Spotify and the sound is fantastic). HEOS (allows AVR zones to group very nicely, lots of devices, sounds amazing). Bluesound (great sound, smooth integration, lots of equipment options) Sonos (it’s hard to overlook its popularity and product offerings) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Bump - Pricing Reduced. Qtys adjusted to reflect what is remaining. I have had many ask me for pricing. The pricing is listed in the offer. Thanks!
  4. One of the best most useful 3rd party drivers out. Devices are inexpensive and the driver works flawlessly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Demo Unit - AudioControl XR-6 with maybe a total of 12 hours of use. Moved a showroom and didn't use an AVR in the new project. Accessory Package never opened. $3500.00 Shipped to the US Demo Unit - Wattbox WB-800CH1U-IPVM-8 $400 SHipped to the US. No Box (some nics from sliding in and out of rack. Faceplate has no scratches/marrs/etc. I have 17 Brand New C4-FPD in White or Black (but can ship with all white if need be. $75 each or ($1000 Takes All).
  7. Bump (It's likely much more appealing since they released the latest FW which allows Native Audio to pass over any MoIP setup (not limited to strictly the audio line).
  8. How well does the Unifi Doorbell integrate? The entire Control4 doorbell game is a travesty for a luxury home brand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Like many others have suggested the solder method with a Nyce zigbee tilt sensor and you have zero need to run a wire and it’s bulletproof (batteries need changed every few years). Cheap and bulletproof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It makes no sense. I don’t think that FW update existed on 04/27.

Grasping. Have you tried rebooting and adding the Halo back via the C4 app? At this point, I’d go to the person you bought the Halo from for support.
  13. Maybe move this to the for sale area and you might get a bite. You posted in Wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yale Assure Assure Lever Push-Button Keypad Lever Lock Satin Nickel - w/ C4 Zigbee Module. I bought it from ADI and swapped in my own C4 module and then never used it. So it's open box, but definitely never used. Open Box $270 plus shipping

To be clear, you are power-cycling the Halo, correct? The button on the top edge of the Halo.
  17. Yes. Thanks for asking.

  19. I have done the same many times with clear silicone and just cut it to replace batteries. Works like a charm on every brand I tried. Seems like the only element that really hurts them (and only really looks-wise) is the sun. Tends to discolor the housing.
  20. The guys that responded to your post are all great members and the information was spot on, I just skimmed too fast. Not sure how large a project you have, but a CA-10 to me would be more valuable than a Core controller if you have a large number of devices, lot's of custom programming, a lot of drivers, etc. It's expensive sure, but in EVERY case our client's have said it was the best decision they made. They don't see what we see as dealers, but they base that upon the speed it reboots, the speed navigators refresh etc. The Core platform is the future and will bring even MORE magic than what has been mentioned, it's just that we even as dealers are not 100% privy to these things beyond rumors... sort of how Apple never let's the cat out of the bag until the big September annual announcements. But again, the EA series will only be limited as to the future OS releases. We all know they work fine on OS3.3 and I would imagine they'll work fine until OS4 (that's being flippant, but just making a point). Just skim the thread again and see if anything the Core brings would benefit you at this time. You can always add one down the line.
  21. Yeah, sorry. I got caught up reading the previous posts. All of which are informative by the way, rehashes. I see you are running an EA3 currently. Anothef benefit of a Core3 upgrade would be the additional steam of audio. It has 3 outputs PLUS the HDMI. With the EA series they count the HDMI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. What speed are you referring to? How fast a zigbee light turns on? Your project is run in the CA-10. Speed isn’t the idea behind the Core series. It’s to open a ton of new features that the current EA series ultimately won’t natively support. The benefits of Core that are already released have been discussed. Thing beyond that is a guess, because Control4 is very tight-lipped about future features etc. If you are around if a Core5 is faster than a CA-10, no. If you are asking if a Core5 is faster than an EA5, yes …but not that noticeably. It’s more about features which require “horsepower per se” not necessarily speed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So long as there is a driver available. Control4 is doing a good job with generic Zwave drivers for things like lighting etc. For a lot of us, this is a big step for Control4 to open up many more device mfrs and protocols. Prior to the latest Core/Zigbee 3.0/Zwave updates, Control4 was said to support over 13,000 devices. I imagine that has/will increase drastically with the new Core launch.
  24. “Director” - in the simplest of terms is the program that runs your system, executes the commands given via interfaces and programming, runs the drivers scripts etc. in other words, your CA-10 is the brain. Some other tasks are handled by your secondary controllers (EA or Core), like your zigbee mesh, Ryff audio if you are using native audio and OSD (in the case of the Core1,3&5 - 4K) also on the case of the Core3 & 5 relay(s) and contact(s) and Zwave. Head to head, the Core controllers are more powerful than their EA counterparts, but that’s simply the new electronics. Aside from the above differences, there is much more in store for the Core series once further OS versions are released. All of that said, unless you need to integrate all of the 3rd party zigbee devices and zwave devices (remember that even though Control4 is migrating to zigbee 3.0 and a current zwave protocol, specific device drivers for certain devices may or may not be offered natively -I assume a bunch of 3rd party drivers will come as well to cover devices Control4 doesn’t include natively), there is not a good enough reason to upgrade “today”. A lot of our Control4 audio clients are interested in the new DACs (allegedly better), but on a typical distributed audio system the sound improvement won’t be that noticeable if at all. Clients that run a (or an few) audiophile quality zones, may benefit. Don’t waste the money at this point unless something specific calls you. Wait until the new Core magic powers are released. And at some point (I don’t see it anytime soon), the EA’s will no longer be supported. But for now, we know they are good up to OS3.3. To be fair, not everyone jumps on new OS releases. We have very happy clients still running OS2 systems.
