Guys I am experiencing the same problem at my house tonight.  No D-pad controls but will select apps.  I am a dealer so have access to re-identify my Roku's in composer.  Have rebooted the Roku's and no joy.   Something is broken.  I can control them from my phone across the network using the Roku app so I think it is C4 related.

I agree that this would be a very useful addition to C4.  

I completely agree that a toggle is the way to go on this.  It is going to go unused and be unattractive on most installations.

This has happened on my system a few times over the past 18 months (5-6 times) and your solution is exactly what I do to fix it.  It happens with my Roku Ultra units (2), but my Roku televisions have not been affected.

I am also a C4 dealer/installer and just want to say how much I appreciate the insight and contributions you have made to these forums through the years.  That takes a lot of time that you don’t get paid for but greatly strengthens the C4 community.  I hope to work with you in the future!

i have looked into using another product ant have been in touch with C4 about it.  However, they confirmed that they have not been able to find a product that also passes ir/serial data as mstafford388 mentioned above.  We are using serial to control the connected televisions.

I know that these are very difficult to find but you never know unless you ask.  If anyone has any that they want to sell I need 4 for one of our commercial customers.  We have robbed them from other TV's in the building to keep the most important ones working but running out of options.

Has anyone seen a tutorial on making the necessary changes?  We have a customer that lost notification because we are using a gmail address as the sender.  Enabling 3rd party apps is no longer an option from the original menu location.  Thanks!

I noticed something odd over weekend when making some changes to my home system.  Was programming a station for system startup when turning on all of my outside zones and only about 25% of my stations were available in programming.  But when selecting a station through the touchscreen or mobile interface I do see all of my stations listed.

I have been wondering about this myself.  Thanks for the clarification.  I would love to see an updated driver that polls for status.  We have several customers that have use Roku TV's in secondary viewing areas.  I have a couple in my own setup as well.  I have been happy with them.

In fact, to even add support for CarPlay to your iOS app requires requesting the appropriate permissions from Apple - it's not something a developer can just enable to even experiment with. Thanks so much for the response.  Hopefully they will add more support for home automation.  I can think of a lot of cool ways to use it.

now the bad news, in CarPlay only 1 garage will be available as an option.  through C4 I can use CarPlay to open the garage then automate other things based on time of day.

the good news, you can use Siri to ask for automation tasks.

Thanks guys.  I am actually an Android user for the past 10+ years.  I have been considering making the switch to iOS but not right away.  Those of you using Android Auto...you are just using the voice capabilities, correct?  No visuals on the screen?  It would be great to see the status of a garage door or lighting on the screen.

My apologies if this has been covered in other topics but my searches yielded very few results.  Carplay/Android Auto seems like such a natural extension for the C4 platform.  Having access to garage doors, lighting and a few other items would be great to have on screen in our vehicles.  I have seen references to others using Carplay with C4 though 3rd party integrations.  Could anyone share what integration/driver that you are using and anywhere that I could go for more information?  I am a dealer and want to experiment with it on our demo system.

Has been happening in my demo system as well as customer systems for years.  Is so frustrating.  C4 worked with Ecobee a while back to try to fix it but it didn't make any noticeable difference in my system.

Now we have another customer with a Schlage Encode.  Anyone know if there is a way to integrate with C4?

We have been having Ecobee disconnects again lately as well.  Both customer systems and our own demo system.

I purchased one to play with after seeing that Alan is writing a driver.  Haven't opened the box yet.
