  1. Looks cool - I wish this was supported for Roku TVs. (i.e.: TCL models)
  2. I don't have a solve for your issue but to say that I am selling a used C4-16S2-E-B in the ForSale forum if you need to go down that path.
  3. I just installed this over the weekend to much delight! It’s just plain faster to ask/tell than to go into any app. My wife was thrilled with “goodnight” and “midnight snack” scenes. They were always there but she likes this more than a button on the wall or navigating the UI.
  4. Bonus question? — can you tell which output is being used with which source/stream currently in composer or otherwise? (I generated a test tone to confirm the new cables were all working — I was just curious to know if I can see this in “real time”)
  5. Does the controller automatically pick which output to use (if you have multiple cables?). Also, can you use both the analog and digital outputs as two streams or does one output (like digital) take the spot of the analog output?)
  6. Good point. Thanks. Also, FYI - not possible without a "Homepod" device like an AppleTV or HomePod device.
  7. Thanks. Curious - what does using the ASG trigger do, how does it differ from using the 1-8 Trigger? When would you use it?
  8. How does Apple Music Streaming work with an iPad setup as a "Home Hub"? For example, can I say "play Alternative Radio on [ShareBridgeSpeaker]" on my iPhone/iWatch and have the iPad load and play the radio station or music library? I don't want to share audio from my iPhone because I want to use the iPhone's built-in audio for doing other tasks while the music plays in the background. Does this make sense?
  9. This is only for iPhone version, right? (I don't see this on an iPad and I think C4 won't want to do it on an iPad because it could cannibalize their existing tablet sales)
  10. Hello, I just replaced my legacy C4-16S and Knoll amps with a Triad 8x8 and Powered Amp setup. Do I want to use the 12V trigger as a best practice or just leave in the "on" state all the time? What does the group recommend? Thanks!
  11. Hello, If I understand it right, the SR-260 update includes the ability to view the volume right on the remote display. As I am increasingly using the TV's built-in Roku Apps, I'd like to have this feature on the SR-250 remote (since the AVR audio does not display since the video is coming straight from the TV and not routed through the AVR). Is this a possibility?
  12. Removed from working C4 system. You can see the 16channel audio switch has some scratches on the top of its chassis. Speaker blocks available for Knoll; I just reused them as-is into the Triad Powered Amp that is replacing this system. Shipping to be charged at-cost. (I don't have original boxes for this kit).
  13. Thanks for all the help. Looks like about $75/camera to keep coax and convert to PoE ethernet at the ends. So unless the installer charges less than $375 to replace coax w/ cat-5/6 cabling, I'll go that route.
  14. There's definitely some sort of power adapter also so maybe I've gotten lucky. The cameras were put in about 8 years ago. I didn't think to check the cable itself (d'oh!) so I'll doublecheck. Thanks for the note!
  15. Easy enough as I already have ubiquiti in the house - to the question of cabling, re-cable or use Ethernet-Over-Coax adapters? I guess in the latter case, i would do this myself but in the former (pulling cable) -- I'd rather use a company who makes their living doing this sort of thing -- do you think a homeowner can contract cable pulling only for a residence? (vs. a dealer who would provide the cabling effort as part of the install package).
  16. Hello, I have a Luma 501 NVR with 5 Analog exterior cameras. The NVR itself seems to be getting a bit old (requires plugin support on a no-longer-supported browser). I've been thinking of having an upgrade done early in the new year -- thoughts on the overall approach / cost to do this? Would it be cheaper to use IP-over-coax or have the installers pull and redo with Cat5/6? Should I continue with the Luma ecosystem? What ballpark costs should I be looking at? Let's assume I want to keep using my C4 system (which controls 2 TV rooms, 8 in-room speakers,, security, and about 30+ lights and 3 key panels). Thanks!
  17. Hello, I'm just spit-balling here, but is it possible to setup a virtual switch to do some very basic AV control like mute/volume? Like if I setup a virtual switch called "Office Mute" and said "Hey Siri, Office Mute On" and had an event trigger for the switch when it changed state to then mute the volume in the room ... would that work? I'm thinking of within the confines of homebridge/homekit since I already have iOS listening devices (watches/phones) pretty much within earshot. [EDIT] - Actually just heard from the Homebridge support -- yep, this is exactly doable.
  18. Ooof. I keep forgetting - is there a good (affordable) Voice control for AV?
  19. I guess, Apple Watch with HomeKit (HomeBridge) will be what works.
  20. I just DHCP'em and then reserve the lease for whatever address they get first time they connect. Keep a spreadsheet / export from the router config that shows all of them.
  21. Click on the (4) -> Settings -> Preferences. Top line says "About" and has the Version number underneath it.
  22. I hope the integrated Intercom Anywhere functionality shows up in the iPad version...
  23. Same subnet so multicast shouldn’t be a problem but I will disable ids anyway (which also shouldn’t block anything) and report back. When I have the problem on the remote, it also exists in the app. I’ll turn debugging on in the driver and see if anything important is there. I will report back my findings. :-)
  24. Thanks. I will keep troubleshooting. I was in the TiVo beta program, which may have contributed to this behavior, but I thought they reset me back to non-beta code. Appreciate the feedback.
  25. Hello! Increasingly, my TiVO control is being unstable. Often, the remote (SR-260 or iPhone App) just won't work and I have to switch to the RF-controlled TiVo remote to use the buttons. After some amount of time, it will "come back" and start working again. It's quite frustrating -- has anyone else come across this? TiVOs are controlled via IP on the same subnet as the controller; DHCP fixed IP addresses. Have yet to find a predictable pattern to the behavior. (Happens on both TiVos that I have)
