sorry yes its a NK-1, the router is from the service provider. when you say static you mean the ip address for them was fixed? Xfinity was 10.0.1.1 or something and at&t is 192.168.1.0 if that helps, sorry I am clueless to this stuff and they guy told me don't ever go in that NK-1, you can play around with the wk-2s and swithches all you want. I have access to the NK and the AT&T but wouldn't dare touch them without some expert help. happy to pay thanks

I have two wk-2s that used to be wired to my pakedge router, I changed from Comcast to AT@T fiber and I don't know how to make the changes in the router so the wk-2s are wired directly to pakedge switch on a POE port but they are giving off no signal at all. thanks in advance

After the final straw with xfinity turning my service off for a mistake in appying payment to my wrong account I finally decided to give AT&T Fiber a chance. They installed their supplied BGW320 wifi modem/router. There are four outs on the unit, do I run one to my RK-1 or do I need to bridge or something? The wifi does not throw that far and the unit is located in the garage so I just assume leave it that way and let me WK-2's do their normal job in the rest of the house. Any help would be appreciated, happy to pay for help. Thanks in advance

First time seeing this, happening on all my WK-2's when I make a simple change and click on apply in the Wireless area. Same thing I have always done all I was doing was adding guest network and changing wifi password on outdoor WK-2 Any ideas? Anyone else having this happen. Firmware is up to date?? Thanks

My c4 was programmed by a dealer to turn on all front and rear soffit lights and front and rear sconces at sunset and soffit lights off at sunrise and sconces off at 12:30 am In addition I added for patio downlight and summer kitchen lights to come on at sunset and off at 2:30 am, this was done by me. After blaming girlfriend and housekeeper for touching the lights and screwing up the cycle I placed light switch covers on the automated switches. I then realized it was not anyone causing the problem, it was the system. Strange thing is the patio downlight and summer kitchen lights I programmed work like clock work. The dealer programmed soffit lights and sconces are a different story. Sometimes the sconces come on and not the soffit lights and sometimes the soffit lights and not the sconces. There is no pattern I can see, they rarely (soffits only) do it at the same time where none of the the two types come on, its always one or the other. There are front and rear sconces and soffit lights, front is one switch and once string, rear is three sets (east, west, and cabana) as I call them. I can't swear to it but I am pretty sure the front soffits come on but not the rears and vice versa but sometimes all of them don't come one and other times one or the other. Any ideas? All equipment and updates are up to date. I have been though two dealers and tried a remote dealer here on the forum that flaked on me ( my biggest complaint about c4) I wish c4 would just manage my already set up system and charge me because this dealer disaster is what will make me never buy the product again. Alexa and Kasa and Temo have been more reliable that c4 but they don't do music and cameras. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

after parting ways with my second dealer I am trying to figure out how to keep this thing running until I get new dealer. I just noticed my 7" in wall is not lit or operational. I think I just answered the question, is it run by a poe with an ethernet going in to it? I disconnected that last week and have been trying to figure out what that does?? mystery solved??? thanks for any info

I mentioned to my c4 guy that i read the wk-2s had to be master reset and he said no he didnt read that. I am removing it. you all are right it seems to run fine without it

The last and final piece of equipment to make the system complete is a third WK-2 and an NK-1 to control the 3. I am still baffled why a single story very wide open floor plan 2800 sq ft house would need 3 ap's but either way I own the equipment and need the NK-1's wifi set up properly. I can not deal with one more c4 dealer, I have had it with them telling me that I need 5k more in equipment every time and based on how much this equipment costs I can't believe that I need 2/3 of it especially considering it is three times more expensive than other equipment that does the same job. Only thing I can figure is they want to be 100% sure they will never have to do another site visit because I spent all the money on the equipment to make them never have to travel again. If that were the case you would think they would offer to discount the product because I am buying the entire shooting match but I do live in the sunny state for shady people. If anyone knows anyone that can set up this simple single wifi band controller or can suggest a way of getting this done any other way I would truly appreciate it, I am happy to pay for a good professional job, it is a vey simple task it is just not in my area of expertise. Thank you all for your help. unfourtunately my IT/Programmer guy resigned the account yesterday after he changed an SSL Certificate message wording to say “click on here and money can be stolen from your bank account” as a joke and I did not find it amusing. In fact, I found it so not amusing that I said I should report it to Control4 and ask them to find me a new dealer. So here I am with you all helping me. I can leave it plugged in to the pc near by and share it on the network or I can use a Poweline Ethernet adapter and hard wire it. Propbably best to leave it connected to the pc? Thank you ms, the nk is capable of this option but my programmer did not choose this. since I dont know how to fix it, if I just hard wire the printer in to the pc I should be able to do it that way right? is there any down side to doing this? I just have to make sure I keep the pc powered on to print from other devices on the network? thanks

Thank you, at a glance I suggested that the WPA was set up by the programmer but the WPA was not included but was an option. He said he thought that was irrelevant as the WPA2 would include the WAP standard or something to that effect. Printer is older and I love the printer and do not want o replace it if possible due to its size, color, and features compared to the new ones. Printer is for sure 2.4 but band steering was set up. I looked but it was a bit confusing as to how to try to change the security to WAP. I am actively trying to find an integrator as mine quit during this project. Thank you for the info, all makes perfect sense to me and I know nothing compare to the experts helping that claim they know all.

My programmer just added the NK-1 and then my HP printer would no longer hook up to my wifi, needless to say there was an argument as in his continued effort to try to get c4 to run my entire life and I am trying to keep it simple. He retired the account today on a very mutual agreement as I want things simple and he wants to have c4 do everything. It is not a matter of money on either side it is a matter of a 20 year age gap with him wanting to prove to the World he can make c4 do anything and I want nice easy tasks done and if they become too complicated I am ok with old school or using a separate app. I have a ubiquiti ap out at my summer kitchen by the pool as the wk-2's won't reach that far (for that kind of money I don't know why not) so I have a small left over ubiquity lite out at the summer kitchen for when I am grilling and the printer will talk to it on the wifi but won't talk to the wk-2's I found some literature that said some of the HP wireless printers have this problem but why does it talk to the ubiquiti? I know this sounds crazy but what about the MyQ app on the iPhone. I have it and I swear of every app on my phone the MyQ is my favorite. They put the Liftmaster app on my c4 and I had them remove it. It took longer for the to tap c4 and bring up the app and open the door then it did to use the myq app. I like the app so much when the new Liftmaster garage door came out with the camera built in I bought it the first day it was available. Liftmaster and Honeywell thermostat app are the two best and hardiest and fastest apps on my phone. The c4 integration I could not tell if door was open or closed or what direction it was going in.
