  1. Thank you very much for the help. I will look into this with the dealer.
  2. Thank you for the replies. I understand C4 acquired the card access product line in 2014. And not sure how the Contact Sensor could read the hot water temperature. I think it only has an internal thermostat, as if to read ambient temperature. Am I missing something? Thanks again
  3. Hi: Can anyone suggest a good water temperature reader that works with C4? Ideally it would have a sensor that can be placed on the outside of a hot water pipe. Thanks,
  4. Thank you for your replies.
  5. Hi, I would like to strictly limit the options some users have on their Control4 mobile app. Basically, these users would only be able to open a door. All other options should no appear to them. Is this possible? Can anyone please suggest where to get started? Thanks,
  6. Hello, Vertilux fixed their driver and it works well and as expected. Thanks!
  7. Hi, I am using OS 3.2.1; Vertilux Bridge driver 1002; Vertilux driver 1004 for shade controllers. I am using Vertilux serial interface controller. The operation is very buggy to the point it is useless. Vertilux does not update with the status of the shades, so it is not possible to program something like "if shades are open then close". That would not be a fatal problem if you could program something like "close living room shades at 6PM". The problem is that if the system thinks the living room shades are already closed, it does nothing. So, if you opened the shades with the manual control, the system thinks they are closed and your "automation" is useless. At some point (some previous version of OS or driver), you could get around this by programming a quick close then open --to open the shades; or, quick open then close -- to close the shades. Because the commands were immediate, the first command just removed the erroneous presumption in the system that the shades were already opened (or already closed). However, since at some point this was broken and unless there is at least two seconds between commands, the command does not get sent. So, say you want to close all shades at 6PM regardless of status. For automation to work, you have to program for shades to open for about three seconds. Then stop, then wait a few seconds and close. The effect is that, at 6PM, all shades open a bit, then stop, then close. It is incredibly annoying and now a joke in my family as to how ridiculously expensive it was to get a system that has to do this to be able to close the shades at a certain time of the day. If anyone has had better luck with Vertilux or knows of workarounds or alternatives, I would very much appreciate any tips.
  8. Thank you everyone for your input. We ended up binding keypad buttons to scenes and toggle scenes. Scenes can be edited by user via HE but the experience is still sluggish. Any tips or thoughts? Thanks
  9. Hi, Using Home Composer. I have shades set up via scheduler but would rather have all instructions for a particular room set up in one place. I can do this by programming a macro that tests for the time of day and executes instructions. However, this implies a macro that loops forever. Is this ok or am I boycotting the whole system? Thanks
  10. Hi: I am using: Composer Home Edition: 3.1.3, Build 574885-res / OS Package: 3.1.1.572502-res Director version: 3.1.1.569774-res I have four users and four devices registered in my account via My Home Control4 website. However, in Composer HE, only the main one is shown in the Advanced tab in the Communication Agent. This means I can not add other users to Groups for doorbell, etc. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks,
  11. Hi, My dealer setup the keypads with the buttons bound to light switches. This works fine but it means I cannot make any changes to the keypads with Composer HE. Is this the best way to have this set up? I do not want to chase my dealer every time I want to make a change with the buttons on the keypads and the light switches. Thanks.
