  1. I am wondering if the sleep/wake can be an option to turn on/off? I ask because my household doesn't like the 10ish second waking from sleep wait time. I know that helps with battery life, but we are in the habit of charging every day anyhow.
  2. I noticed the blue dot last night. I was like what the heck is that I wonder. Found the menu for notifications and it listed a number of new things. I saw the version was 1.7 something. Guessing it auto updated the night before.
  3. Thank you for the replies everyone. I will do some more digging, but it sounds like I need to really mail down the wife’s requirements and see what that requires or maybe go to a more traditional service
  4. Hello, I know there are tons of threads about all these streaming platforms, I just can't seem to get a consensus on what the current best practices are. If there is a current thread, please let me know and I won't ask anyone to rehash it. We currently have been using a Logitech Harmony One remote, we have loved this remote for a very long time. Recently our cable provider did away with traditional set top boxes and switch to a streaming back end that appears to be provided by TiVo. With the cost difference we decided to try YouTube TV and it seems to be good so far. The issue has become the ease of use. It doesn't bother me to click a few times either on the Apple TV device or the embedded app in our LG TV in the bedroom, but it aggravates my wife. She liked being able to click "Watch TV" on the Harmony and it powered on the TV, set the input to the cable box, etc. So, how can I replicate this with C4? I've wanted C4 for a while, at least start building the system but just never got around to having those discussions and pulling the trigger. We are an Apple house, and I do like the Apple TV 4K's we have, but it seems like I am reading that the Roku Ultra or Shield Pro will probably be the only way I can get the "One Click" functionality that we are looking for via mini apps. We would like to make Youtube TV act as close to our old traditional cable as possible. We are not opposed to switching services if it makes more sense also. Our main living room is set up like this right now: Sony X900H 65" Apple TV 4K Sony BDP-S5200 JBL Bar 5.1 We just upgraded our bedroom TV to a LG with WebOS (24LQ520S-PU). I would have went Sony, but they don't make a TV that small anymore as far as I could find. There are other TV's but they will be covered by the same devices/integration we choose for these either rooms. I'd like to make things consistent across the house. Ethernet to each TV/Streaming Box with extra ports. Eero Pro 6E wifi, but planning to switch it to Cisco 240AC or Rukus AP's and a regular non wifi router at some point. Please show me the light and the direction to go. Thank you!
  5. Depending on your switch you may be back haul limited with a R750. I don't believe the 2.5GigE port on this model is multi speed like the R850. Enterprise grade 2.5GigE switches are rather expensive.
  6. Hello, My Wife and I are looking at starting to build out or home with C4. We have nothing today as far as C4 equipment. We want to replace our existing doorbell with a video doorbell. I have searched the forums, but I didn't find a nice clear post saying this works/this doesn't with the doorbells on the market today. I also didn't find anything on C4's website or manufactures websites, other than the DS2. Here is what we are placing a priority on: Video Recording, preferably motion detection initiated. On Screen Display of video on the TV's in our house when the button is pressed. I have looked at Ring Pro, Nest Hello, August, Arlo, Eufy, UniFi, and a few others. Can someone tell me which one (Of any, not just the list above) has the most/any functionality with C4? Thank you.
