Not sure how my statement before should be considered a fact.  Its obvious I was stating my opinion.  If you would like to argue that opinion and provide a better one, go a head. Are you suggesting that from now on, on the forum, you must preface all statements with "I Believe" to make sure people don't get confused on a very subjective topic? 
If there is a better one out there, I honestly would like to know.  If there isn't a better one out there, I think my subjective opinion is strong. 
I really like what I see coming out of Homekit/Apple with the support of Scrypted.
Other contenders are the cloud base systems like Nest and Ring which offer a decent user experience.

It’s frustrating, but I see how it happens. 

I've officially given up on these remotes.  There doesn't seem to be any hope for them.  They only work well if you are always pulling them right from the charger but its a crap shoot outside of that.  I'm going back to the neeos as I find it way easier to pick it up and in one click everything turns on and I'm good to go.  With the halos it takes up to two actions to get to what you want and this is after you wait for the remote to wake up.  If they could fix the speed issues and offer a similar interface to the neeo I will switch back.

The driver is still working well.  I was able to get a license today and added it to my project using the version above.

Awesome, Thanks.  It sounds like they might be changing their marketing to not say that it can be powered by the garage motor.  

Trash is strong word and I don't agree. I own both.  While the Davis Vantage Pro 2 is nice its also a maintenance nightmare.  Specifically the rain gauge and keeping it operational.  The birds and spiders love that thing. The davis does not contain all of its sensors on the weather station itself and it requires that you run a control panel that looks like its from the 90s. You have to buy another device if you want it to work over wifi. The tempest has lightning detection which the Davis does not.  Overall, I'm likely going to remove my Davis soon since the Tempest has been pretty close to the readings on my Davis.

I'm surprised you are a software developer, but if you are you would probably be aware of the ways you can use Composer Pro with your system rather than be blocked from using HE. So you can keep venting or google your solution.

Konnected is dropping a version of RATGDO that is powered by the opener.  I have a pre-order in.

The traditional Roku remote doesn't contain a channel up and down button.  Its cool that Youtube TV and some other apps support it.  You can fix this on your own by repackaging the Roku driver.  Inside the C4Z (unzip) you will find an XML file.  In that XML file will be a section that determines which buttons to show.  You can modify this to show the buttons you want.  Control4 tried to match the buttons that a traditional Roku remote shows.  @RyanE

I can program off pico buttons. I’m using the leap driver on the non pro hub. 
 
make sure you look at the events side of programming. You can program off press and release on any button push.

I would think that for anyone with blinds it would be a must have.  I have some privacy programming against my tilts and shades, but now there’s this smart add-on for comfort and to save money on heating and cooling. 

I've been giving this a test and it works amazingly. No more setting the shades to raise and lower based on timers in the morning and hoping it gets it right and having 2 sets of timers for summer and winter (sun rises slower in summer) etc. Now everything is based on azimuth of the sun (position east to west) and shades go up and down based on that. Love it!

I wrote a sun positioning driver that I need help testing.
Driver allows you to trigger events in Control4 based on the suns location.  This is great for shades and allows you to mimic control like Lutron's Natural Light Optimization. Driver calculates the sun position based on your project location and timezone.  This driver does not require an outside API and all calculations are done on the driver itself.
Below are the variables that you can use for conditionals.  Driver fires an event on every calculation of the sun position.

Sun Interval: How often the sun position should be calculated. 
Azimuth: Direction of the sun as compass coordinates.
Altitude: Angle of the sun in degrees.  (Positive - Sun is above horizon | Negative - Sun is below horizon)
Season: Current Season based on Location
Trending: If the Sun is going UP or DOWN
Last Event: Day, Night, Civil Twilight, Nautical Twilight, Astronomical Twilight, Solar Noon, Solar Midnight
