One more new issue for the day:
I have three tstat zones. Having been a Homelogic customer, I was accustomed to extended history of HVAC, percent being used, history of setpoints, good tstat control.
I still have an HAI security system that had 3 stats on it. As I was doing the C4 implementation, it was insinuated to me that if I put in C4 stats, I'd have more visibility to set points and control. So... I purchased 2 C4 wireless Tstats, leaving one supplementary HVAC zone on the HAI to compare and contrast control.
Results that I am experiencing:
1. I cannot use PERMANENT HOLD on any stat to keep a zone the way I want it until I choose to retain it. If a setpoint is met, remote takes over and turns the stat back on, so PERMANENT HOLD sure seems to be a misnomer. How do I keep a zone on hold?
2. If I want any visibility to setpoints, it seems I have to use the C4 user interface to set heat and cool set points. Otherwise, I have to program it in Composer, and then I have no online visibility. Plus, it seems I cannot have setpoints based on security system, e.g., Home, Away, Vacation. I could do it in Composer, but once again, no visibility.
3. If I could accomplish the ability to gain the features I mention in #1 and #2, it would seem that C4 is sorely lacking in any historical information on HVAC. Am I missing that, or is there a "History" function for HVAC, and frankly, all zones and variables?
