  1. hey folks, would you know if C4 can integrate with the HiLook CCTV system. it's Hikvision's low cost brand: https://www.hikvision.com/au-en/products/HiLook/
  2. I am working on that and should have one soon.
  3. Hi all, I got quoted or the following actron systems for my home and wanted to know if Actron can integrate into c4 as I'm not able to find much information on this. the Actron systems I got quote on are: Actron QUE ERQ5-24AS Actron Advance EVV240S
  4. what would be the appropriate rack size required to house C4 controller, CCTV NVR , Triad Amps and a couple of network switches? would a 600mm width x 600mm depth be fine?
  5. @cdcllc are you referring to another pair of in-ceiling speakers in Alfresco, Master Suite, Balcony, Activity ?
  6. @Neo1738. @C4 User With the conduit runs from tv point/ basement to attic that you’re referring to, is it flex tube or some other type and what size? I could ask for it from theatre , living (where the tv and projector screen will go ) and from the study ( where my rack with part of the gear is ) going up to the attic. how does it get presented in the downstairs rooms , is it terminated into like a wall plate with those bristles or left behind the wall with a dummy plate so you can always pull out the plate to access it?
  7. by 16/4 or 14/4 do you mean 16 or 14 gauge with 4 wires (2 pairs) to each speaker? is this in case you use a DVC speaker?
  8. can Triad amp take speaker wiring that is 14, 12 or even 10 gauge? I haven't used those type of phoenix connectors before myself and from looking at pics , they appear very small.
  9. hey folks, my wife and I will be building a house and I have put together a first pass at a design that I'd like to have implemented from Day1. eventually we would add more to it as in more C4 in wall tablets, more speaker zones, more A/V areas, more Lutron in-line dimmers etc, but initially this is what I thought we could start off with and would be in place for at least 6 months before we add to it. I've decided to put some equipment downstairs (network switches, Dahua NVR, MDF) because its close to the ISP ONT and some equipment upstairs (C4 controller, Triad Matrix/Amp) because its easier to run new speaker cables for more audio zones upstairs and tie it back to the matrix/amp. putting equipment in WIL is probably not possible due to WAF so I'll probably have a small rack in my office (study) downstairs and one in the activity room upstairs. I do have a lot of wiring limitations in the sense that my builder isn't allowing me to use my own electrician on site and they charge through the nose for running any wiring that i specifically ask them for. because of this, I'm only having them run the CAT6 data wiring and the speaker wiring for the speaker zones. also, being a double storey, i won't really be able to run any new wiring downstairs , upstairs is pretty easy though. i haven't shown it in my pics below but there is an extensive amount of data points that the builder will be running throughout the houe (especially downstairs) coming back to the MDF. I put a secondary controller in the garage so that it can be wired to the garage controller since I won't be able to pull cables from the main controller to it after I build the house. i'm looking for some feedback on my equipment locations, the type of equipment i've selected, what sort of EA controller I need (for the main and secondary one) to suit this design. is there any must haves that I might have missed that would be good to have from day1
  10. does that mean the EA5 is only limited to 2 simultaneous streams out since it only has 2 stereo analog out? what happens if you want 3,4 or 5 simultaneous streams?
  11. with the matrix, do you just connect 1 pair of stereo from the EA-5 to the matrix. then if you have 3 zones of audio, you connect 3 stereo pairs from the matrix to the amp? is that how it works? Sure, will ping you separately too.
  12. hey folks, looking at having a few zones of audio installed and using either triad distribution amplifier TS-PAMP8-100. its a new house im building. i am unsure of how this amplifier connects to the C4 controller. when I look at the Ea-5 data sheet for example, it says it has for audio out the following: 5 audio out—1 HDMI, 2 stereo analog, 2 digital coax but when i look at the back of the triad , it has 8 stereo inputs with one of them called a global IN. does this mean I just need to connect one of the pairs of stereo analog from the EA-5 into the TS-PAMP8-100 ? and Would that allow me to have multiple zones playing together out of the TS-PAMP8-100 which is ultimately what I want to acheive. TIA
  13. @RAV @rocky350z @OceanDad I reached out to some companies today for the motorised curtains and the option I was suggested to go for was to use a company called Alpha Motors and to get their Neo Hub which uses RF to control the motors. then get the appropriate C4 driver to control the Neo Hub. Do you think this would work well as opposed to hardwiring the Alpha Motors to C4. ink to Alpha's 2022 catalogue: https://alphamotors.com.au/
