  1. The Biggest Issue with Philips hue as one mf my colleagues found out is that when you have a power cut all the lights come back turned on at full brightness. Brief power cuts of 3-4 seconds are fairly common in the UK especially at night. In this case he was woken up in the early hours with all his kids screaming and every light in the house stuck on until the router and Hue bridge etc had come to life so he could turn them all off again. This doesn't happen with the C4 lighting as it just goes back to its previous state. this is what put me off Philips hue even for a few standard lamps I went with Lutron Inline dimmers instead.
  2. I use Serial for my panel but also tried SmartCom, both worked using the binding method but when reading from the panel Composer read the list of Zones but it still didn't give any options for programming off them until they were bound to something. Mabe it would have been different with ComIP. The only issue with using smart com was the Texecom push notifications didn't work though the app but this would be fine if you were using Control4 App instead
  3. This took my dealer a while to figure out, basically you have to add Generic PIR or contact sensor drivers in each room and then connect them to the panel under connections I believe. you cant program directly of the panel other then setting/un setting the whole system. Once I got it working it was great I use my alarm sensors to automate lights etc Sorry I cant be more help as I only have composer Home I cant actually see the connections he had to make but the drivers that are in each room are contactsingle_motionsensor_c4.c4i and contactsingle_contactswitch_c4.c4i
  4. I have some Lutron lighting and a few Lutron Blinds in my Control 4 I have Lutron lights integrated alongside C4 lights in advanced lighting and it works pretty well all the lights seem to come on together occasionally C4 doesn't seem to recognise when a scene is active but other then that no issues I trigger scenes in Lutron when I want to make several blinds move at once
  5. In the UK Heatmiser neo Thermostats work really well I have 20 in my project but not sure on there availability elsewhere https://www.heatmiser.com/en/heatmiser-neo-overview/
  6. I have 6 Lutron Sivoia QS Blinds in the UK using the RA2 Select Repeater everything about them is great (except possibly the price) they are really quiet and integrate really well into Control 4. The repeater just has an ethernet and a power connection, tested to a range of around 20 meters and its fine
  7. Hi This is my first post here but I have read loads of info on here that has been really useful I had a Control4 system installed around a month ago and am slowly getting to grips with everything. One issue i have is I have lots of tracks stored as WAV Files on a network share when control4 Scans the share it seems to set all the track numbers to 0 this means that the tracks in an album all show up in a random order making it impossible to play an album in order. When i go to Media in composer HE the tracks are all there with the numbers 0 the Mp3 files seem to have been scanned fine and still have there track numbers I have searched but i cant find any reference to this issue anywhere els. Is this a known bug Thanks
