  1. I have four .mp3 files being used for my doorbell chime. I want to play a different file for halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, and the rest of the year. What I'm thinking I need to do is create multiple and/or statements to accomplish this, e.g If date does not = 10/29-10/31 Or date does not = 11/25-11/30 OR date does not equal 12/20-12/31 then play big-ben-doorbell-sound.mp3. The problem I run into is that I cannot figure out to do this progammatically.
  2. I actually figured this out. I had to disconnect the AVR from the network. Once this was done, RS232 took over.
  3. Has anyone ever been able to control an Integra receiver via RS232? One day the IP control will work and the next day it doesn't. Once it works and if I leave it on, it continues to work. When it doesn't work, I can still see its IP address on the network and Composer says it's up as well. I'm using the C4-CBL3.5-DB9B Serial Cable to connect serial 1 port of the EA1 to the AVR and using the Integra DRX-4 driver which supposedly works with RS232 but I can't control anything. Is there some other step I should be doing? Thanks,
  4. When I look at the video from my Chime video doorbell, I see a date and time stamps of yyyy/mm/dd and 24 hr. Is there a way to change the date format to mm/dd/yyyy and the time format to 12hr with AM and PM?
  5. Thanks for the reply. I should have been more verbose. I know how to send emails, I do it when my sensors detect water (email based on an event that occurs). I guess what I'm looking to do is to query each sensor's battery level and then somehow notify me what those levels are. These aren't events, they're just status. So how would obtain those levels? thanks again
  6. I want to create a report that will be emailed to me on a monthly basis that provides the battery level of my six Sinope water sensors. Can this be done? If so, how? thanks
  7. I would be interested in using their water detectors. I purchased one directly through them but it's not identifying with C4. Is there a different SKU?
  8. I don't have any T3/T4s but I do have distributed audio. I think I would need some kind of analog audio autoswitching device and leave my amplifier on all the time since it has a 12 second ramp up time when it detects a signal. Is there an MP3 file with a doorbell sound?
  9. I have a C4 Chime doorbell/intercom/camera. I'm trying to find an inexpensive solution to allow me to hear the doorbell in areas of the house where the chime cannot currently be heard. Can an Echo Dot be used? Any other suggestions?
  10. How do I get a C4 Chime doorbell to contact a samsung cell phone? I can see the camera video but I don't know how to have it ring my phone, see video, and communicate. I may be having a brain cloud. thanks
  11. I've installed my Chime WiFi doorbell and when the doorbell button is pressed, it takes about two seconds for my Nutone chime to ring. Any idea why this might be? Thanks,
  12. I have seven dam-it water sensors in my house and the only way I can find out the battery level is through composer. I would like to be able to view the levels on my TV screen though. I just can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, I do have C4 set up to notify me via email when the battery level gets to 1v as well.
  13. I have my Hunter Douglas shades installed and interfaced with C4 and it works fine. What doesn't work is that they show up in the "Comfort" menu instead of the "Shades" menu. Is there a way to move them to the correct Experience Menu?
  14. There isn't a SPDIF option in composer. The more I think of it, that shouldn't matter because the TV should just turn on by using the CD command. The TV is a BeoVision 11-46. **I figured it out. I tried utilizing different buttons than CD, e.g. A-MEM, but the only one that worked was A/V analog input (with SPDIF). Works like a champ.

  16. Yes, when I select Roku or DirecTV on the remote, the TV turns on and switches to the appropriate input so the IP connection and everything is working. It's just the CD input doesn't work. In composer, it shows CD with the analog icon BUT not the SPDIF. Not sure if that means anything though.
  17. I'm trying to get my C4 system to turn on a B&O TV and switch to the CD input, The TV is set up so the CD input uses the SPDIF port and the Sonos player is connected to the port. In Composer, I have the Sonos player bound to the CD input. Am I running into trouble because of the SPDIF port? If I press the CD button on the B&O remote, the TV turns on, goes to the appropriate input and I get my music. I also have Roku and DirecTV sources connected to the TVs HDMI ports and they work fine.
