  1. Anyone have a compatible driver for the Telus Arris VIP5602W IPTV?
  2. Looks like the LS12000 has its updated command list listed here: https://epson.com/Support/wa00572
  3. @alanchow possible to update the driver to include the new image processing setting (fast/fine) as found on the LS12000?
  4. There's a driver in the driver database for that exact model: https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse?q=QN75LS03BAFXZA
  5. The developer documentation provides details on how iBeacons can also provide information on far away the user is: While a beacon is in range of a user’s device, apps can also monitor for the relative distance to the beacon. You can use the information advertised by beacons to enhance the user’s experience of a particular location. For example, a museum app can monitor for beacons placed near the museum’s important exhibits. As a user approaches a particular exhibit, the app can use the relative distance of the beacon as a cue to provide more information about that exhibit rather than another. Just swap museum/home and exhibit/room. Seems totally doable in a home environment. I don’t even think iBeacons are available to consumers, but you might be able to buy some old ones off eBay and tinker with an custom app. its a real shame they didn’t take off. A little early I suppose.
  6. Apple’s iBeacon platform has been available to enterprise clients for this exact reason. MLB stadiums use them for some cool interactions. Launched in 2013 a full year before HomeKit, iBeacons never made it to the consumer space and were never integrated into HomeKit. I would suspect that Apple is working on a next gen version at least from an R&D perspective, but who knows if it’ll make it to market. Aqara’s new millimeter wave radar presence detector is pretty awesome, super accurate pin-point presence detection, at least on paper. Integrates into HomeKit wihh the one of their hubs. You can learn more about it here: https://www.macrumors.com/review/aqara-presence-sensor-fp2/
  7. Does the HDMI 2.0 to 2.1 upgrade include 4k > 8k upgrade? If so, I didn't know that. So its the non-8k and HDMI 2.0 one?
  8. Does it have the updated HDMI board? non-8k right?
  9. 100%. As fiber becomes more ubiquitous, and enterprise data transfer and storage costs decline, we'll see streaming services increase their bitrates to match or exceed what's capable with UHD Blu Rays. Speaking of, Sony is launching its high-bitrate (80Mbps) streaming service today, and I expect to hear updates from other services in the near future. https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/5/23904557/sony-pictures-core-now-available-ps5-ps4-ps-plus
  10. I've got three used black NEEO remotes for sale. Includes charging base and cable. $150/each, buyer pays shipping.
  11. 1.4.6 about to drop with HVAC Controls and Comfort Experience Buttons! Learn more: https://www.control4.com/help/c4/interfaces/halo-rn/Content/Version 1.4.6.htm
  12. It's not really a mantra, as it's the limitations of the control protocols. Essentially Control4 wont know precise room and device states when using OEM remotes, so you basically have 2 options: Don't use OEM remotes and rely on Control4 for TV control. Don't use Control4 and rely on OEM remotes. I wish there was a better answer than that. But this is the way. Technically, there is a more complex 3rd option. It involves custom programming on/off buttons for all those TV devices that still use OEM remotes. You would add interface clutter, only be able to turn on/off the tv using those buttons (not room off commands), you'd get into complicated state checking, the buttons would be extremely fragile, and the custom programming costs would be quite high (you could probably buy a new TV for the cost). I would NOT recommend this route.
  13. Oh interesting! Nice catch @msgreenf, and thanks for sharing.
  14. Congrats on getting it fixed! And sounds like you've got a new and improved process for future projects! Yay for learning! Mind sharing what stumped you?
  15. The controller shows up in Homekit AFTER you complete the step you're stuck on. So you're not going to see it until you resolve that error.
  16. @ajd123 I had some issues a few years back as my Control4 login email was different than my AppleID email used in Homekit. I thought Control4 fixed that though. But could you check that? And yes, I'd reserve the IP address for your AppleTV in your router's firmware.
  17. @ajd123 that process of adding AppleTV Control is what adds the Control4 controller to Apple Homekit as a "Bridge". I'll respond in your other thread about some troubleshooting next steps.
  18. Looks like lots of networking improvements. Release notes can be found here: https://www.control4.com/help/c4/interfaces/halo-rn/Content/Version 1.3.2.htm
  19. Hey @ajd123! Sorry to hear about your setup issues. A couple of things to check: Is the Apple Home app setup and configured properly? Any issues controlling devices in that app? Are you able to see the AppleTV in the home app? Are you using the same AppleID on your phone and on the AppleTV? Is your phone and your AppleTV on the same network? Is your AppleTV connected via ethernet with a static IP address? Also, can you provide some more details around your issue. At what step are you getting the error message? Is the pop up appearing to add the bridge to Apple Home? Is it before or after that? Be as specific as possible. Thanks!
