For our Control4-based smart home, we’re looking for a smart keypad allowing to define codes via a mobile app (including temporary codes) to access our apartment front door.
We don’t require a smart lock (such as Yale or August). It’s sufficient for us to just connect a wire to the door and control the latch bolt (while Keeping the deadbolt always open). Yale and August have a smart keypad but it connects to their smart lock which we prefer not to have.
We also don’t require a smart intercom / video door bell. Don’t need video. Don’t need sound. So the very cool new Chime isn’t required for us.
Our use case is just wanting to open the door with a pin code on a keypad and be able to remotely configure such codes via a mobile app to allow temporary entrance for technicians, cleaning, packages etc.
How can we do it with the Control4 ecosystem?
