  1. As anyone had any experience integrating the Stiebel Easytron heating controllers and base station with control4. originally we specified heatmiser neo, but the heat pump we wish to use is by Stiebel and they have there own proprietary control system called Easytron which they say optimises the performance of the system. has anyone integrated this Easytron system with their control4. They are not listed as a partner in the C4 forums
  2. There are some old posts regarding Tahoma Somfy gateway and integration with C4. In NA the drivers exist and it seems to be sorted. Does anyone have an update for using Somfy motors in U.K. controlled by Tahoma rts with Tahoma integrated seamlessly with C4 please
  3. I see quotes in the replies to battery quality, surely if you are hard wiring PoE, as intimated in the original question, batteries are not the issue. In UK Q Motion and Lutron are very expensive, primarily because they have to be sold through a reseller, much like Control4 tbh. Somfy can be bought direct, reducing the cost by over 100%. This means the highest quality Somfy motor with the SDN set up and downloadable drivers for Control4 can be purchased at a fraction of the cost of QMotion. It is entirely plausible to have your blinds made to measure in whatever material you desire from any supplier and then fit the motor in the blind tube, hard wire it back to your network cupboard, to the Somfy hardware, download the drivers from Somfy for Control4, and then control it through your Control4 hub, tablets, remotes and light switches. Avoid Somfy RTS all together, avoid conflicts between Wi-Fi, IP address and RTS systems completely. A robust, scaleable and fully integrated solution. Just like the hard wired QMotion set up. The high end Somfy motors are more than comparable with QMotion and Lutron for quality, in fact they share the same components - from you guessed it - China.
  4. I am aware that Qmotion integrates well with control4. Especially in a new build, my situation, where you can easily hard wire to each blind avoiding RTS issues. I know there are fans of Wi-fi for blinds and fans of PoE. I am the latter. So I am really interested in help for hard wired. The problem I have is Q motion in uk is sold through resellers and is very expensive. Somfy motors can be sourced direct in U.K. for a fraction of the cost. So I am hoping to buy the motors, fit to my purpose made blind and tube, hard wired back to a Somfy hub with drivers that integrate to my C4 controller. Has anyone experience of this, I have researched the PoE gateway from Somfy, is this the right bit of kit and if so what type of motors from Somfy will work best. Many thanks.
  5. I am building a new house. Currently I have scoped data feeds (power over Ethernet) to all windows. I wish to centrally control all blinds and don’t want any batteries, I understand this is all QMotion require. BUT in U.K. QMotion are dealer run and very expensive. I would like to purchase blind and curtain motors direct, wire the windows and of course have C4 control them. Any suggestions on other manufacturers I could use where I can get the motors direct. Should I wire for AC as well to widen choice.
