  1. Im assuming you are going to put the poe injector in an accessible junction box. Maybe use an industrial UL rated version?
  2. So I think ill go the Shelly relay route, although I'm concerned about the delay. I can use the preset light level to control if it dims with the main load or not. During my night or evening level presets It wont turn on until the second press bringing it up to 100%.
  3. Not existing, being added. Yeah, there is a nearby hot I could use... interesting. I hadnt thought of that.
  4. Looking for a work around on dimming 2 loads on the same circuit. Load 1: recessed bathroom fixtures in a soffit. Load 2: led front facing lights. So, I ideally wanted load 1 to go to 100% then load 2 begin, but without a delay. At the moment all I can think of is using a second switch in series, but there will be a delay. Or maybe a hidden switch if, I can pull the wires through the wall. Ideally I'd like to take the power from the soffit lights. Maybe a shelly relay?
  5. For the fan, i wonder if you couldnt add a condition like if outside temp is below a certain temp the schedule doesnt run. Or if its rainy...
  6. Btw. I worked with a dealer who understood I wanted as much customer control as possible. he understood that and just did the minimum in terms of setup letting me to the most I could with composer HE. While I cant add new devices that is just a call away and my remote dealer guy adds it. I pay him a nominal fee and its great.
  7. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Worked like a charm.
  8. Are you getting 120v at the bulb socket? Are you getting 120 V leaving the switch on that line? That would help narrow down where the issue is.
  9. Has great signal, but doesn't update when attached to the garage door. But does update when I tilt it in my hand at the same place. Do I need to change the debounce, as when I do it manually it took less than 250ms but on the garage it takes about 2 seconds?
  10. Mmm. Good topic. So, lets say i need to replace my steering pump on my combine and need to have it programmed in so the main computer sees it and allows it to be used. Right now I need a dealer and right to repair is trying to change that. Soo... if I need to replace a switch to get my control4 system working again. Then I should be able to add it, to get it working again. But I dont have a problem buying any of the products from a dealer, which shouldnt effect their model.
  11. So, while reading these forums I have discovered many automations, both large and small. Things like turning on lights when its too dark are an obvious automation, but things like setting the preset light level based on the time of day were not. Both of these are helpful and make the house more enjoyable. At the moment, I'm operating under the premise that things I do regularly under a certain conditions can be automated. Then I make a plan. Then execute. That however misses things like the preset light level example. I would love to hear people experiences of how they identify things to automate.
  12. Thank you, Really. This community has been so helpful. I hope to be able to give back overtime. Made the scheduled task which executes at a time. The when Sunset executes then turn on light.
  13. How can I use time as a trigger? Basically i want, if between x time and x time and kitchen light is off, activate lighting scene xyz. Without having to press a button.
  14. Also interested. Im assuming it just needs to have a driver and be wifi enabled?
  15. I'm open. Honestly, just looking for something inexpensive with IP control. Current TV is 48", so something around there. For drivers do you mean https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse. ?
  16. So, I currently have my control4 setup to output IR amd sent it to a IR wireless setup I have behind my tv. For $30 it was a good solution but as you might guess, not robust. I currently dont have a speaker/theater setup and was hoping there was a good middle ground. Are there any sub 1k TV's that work well with Control4 that they can control?
  17. do essential forward phase switches add zigbee mesh? I see the c4 thermostat does but the im not sure about tge essential line of switches.
  18. My dealer added the tilt sensor to my garage, under my great room but it wont let me access the sensor state. It shoukd open and closed as it should under the monitoring tab of composer he, but under programming (i wanted to have the lights flash on state change close to open) it doesnt show. Nor does it show under system variables. Any thoughts on what I'm missing?
  19. Oh yeah. I mis read that you are correct.
  20. C4-V-ODIM120-WH & C4-V-OSW120 https://www.control4.com/solutions/products/outlets The Control4 Plug-In Outlet Dimmer and Switch easily plug into outlets to offer complete control of your plug-in lights. Control4 Smart Lighting control solutions are suitable for all homes and let you add rooms and functions when it makes sense for you. Also a wired outlet. Only the bottom one is zigbee controled also they act as repeaters. Is always an option but backordered.
  21. If I had a control4 switch controlling the dryer vent fan for my laundry and I wanted to automate it, when dryer is turned on (120v, not electric) turn on fan. I was thinking of using a TP-link energy sensing plug to be used as the trigger to turn on the switch. Is there an easier or cheaper way?
