  1. So then this is interesting… it works for 1 Apple device and no other Apple devices. Shouldn’t all devices be able to connect when on Luxul networks? My iPhone can connect to C4 if it is on the Verizon network (FIOS provided) and it can connect if it’s on a Luxul SSID. But no other Apple devices can connect ever.
  2. Thanks lippavisual. Is that the only option? What is it about the isp WiFi that Control4 doesn’t like? If I disable that WiFi I will not be able to have working cable boxes as the one in the bedrooms connect WiFi.
  3. Thank you BXTR! We have FIOS for our primary coverage and Luxul access point for extended areas of the house. The Luxul is PoE into a switch in our basement and we have a 5GHz SSID and a 2.4GHz SSID so in the house we have 3 SSIDs (including FIOS). I thought I had heard that it could be the DNS that the ISP uses? Is that correct or way off base? What was the fix for your homeowner with the issue?
  4. We have several control 4 components in our rack. Can someone please explain the proper reboot order/procedure? thanks!
  5. Thanks! My controller is rack mounted so I can’t turn the face down but I see a white sticker under the unit that says C4- HC800- BL-1. I almost wish it didn’t have -1 because this is so frustrating to only have 1 device that can run the app and control everything.
  6. Thanks Amr! so the physical device won’t allow for multiple Apple iOS connections without the 4Sight license?
  7. Thanks for the helpful responses… the app successfully opens when it connects to the controller so I believe that’s the issue I’m trying to solve. all devices are running Control4 for OS3 and the latest version of the app (its currently only working on my iPhone 12 and an older android device that is only WiFi at this point) it’s not working on an iPhone XS, brand new iPad mini and older iPad mini running iOS 12.5) I just checked the local network setting (something I never thought of) after just now reinstalling the app on my husbands iPhone and with it set correctly it still prompts for the 4Sight license. if Control4 allows for multiple devices to connect over home WiFi then I should not need the expense of the 4Sight license. It should allow for multiple devices to connect over WiFi, right? Thanks for the input, feedback and suggestions. DD
  8. When we moved into our house we inherited a Control4 system. It was upgraded after we moved in to OS3. At some point we had a 4Sight license so we never noticed any device app issues. That license has expired and now only 1 iPhone can log into the app. Every other iPhone/iPad that tried gets the message to retry or get a 4Sight license. This is only being accessed on our home WiFi (FIOS) so there is no reason we should need that license. I haven’t found much to help troubleshoot online but I’ve seen a few comments say network issue and I saw one thread that pointed to a DNS issue and suggested changing the router dns to OpenDNS. One other thing we have noticed since using this system is that for no reason at all our streaming music stops for 30 seconds and they resumes. Could this be related in any way? Has anyone experienced the app connection issues and had success changing the router DNS? thanks!! DD
