I have a client with a new addition and the security company made it a second partition on the security system.
They had an old hsim from house logix installed and all working fine for the single partition. The old driver stated it only supported 1 partition so I figured get another HSIM and used a second driver. After adding a second HSIM from Snap (both plugged into the back of an EA5) the result was both partitions could send data to control4 (sensors worked
) but no command form Control4 would go to the system(Arm / disarm). I did try some other shenanigans but nothing worked.
I talked to Control4 support a bit and their best guess was a keypad ID issue (confirmed not this) or a ground loop issue.
With having the old house logix unit I could not update to the current driver so I got another new HSIM, updated the drivers, added new HSIM connected to a different controller, and OS to 3.3.1 today and still had the same issues. I can get either partition to work when that is the only HSIM connected to the security panel but when both are connected I do not see any responses from the security system after sending an arm or disarm command.
I understand the driver documentation states it only supports 1 partition but there should be some work around for this. Has anyone done a dual partition honeywell integration with or without the HSIM unit?
