  1. If I had never used Control4 before and saw these screenshots, I'd assume this is from OS 2 or something really old.
  2. Well I'm glad I banned it because it's the #2 noisiest device on my network right after scribe.logs.roku.com. events.split.io and auth.split.io are non-stop being contacted. In the last 24 hours there have been 1152 blocked requests to events.split.io and 96 to auth.split.io. I've blocked it so not a big deal but just wanted to post here in case anyone was unaware how frequently their Control4 system is reporting in on them and tracking what they do. This is directly from the split.io website as posted earlier: "Record events that measure your customer behavior across your application including clicks, views, checkout events, page load times, or any event that measures your customer experience." So, while you can say it's used to track feature flags, that doesn't change the fact that your own website states otherwise. There's absolutely no reason that it needs to contact your servers every 30 seconds to track "feature flags." Very disappointing and not something I'd have expected considering the high cost that Control4 was to implement. This is something I'd expect to see on Smartthings or another consumer/budget device. "You can change that to the frequency of your choice." - I am waiting for my Dealer to get back to me and confirm they have changed it / removed it.
  3. I installed pihole and my Core3 is reporting back to this address every 5 seconds multiple times: When I search online, it says on the split.io website that they: Record events that measure your customer behavior across your application including clicks, views, checkout events, page load times, or any event that measures your customer experience. What does that have to do with the Core3 controller? I've blocked it obviously, but why is it reporting to some random site multiple times every 5 seconds? There's literally NO reason that anything needs to report back that frequently. Really annoying to be honest finding this after using Control4 for a year.
  4. This driver doesn't work with the S9+; got it a few days ago and gave it a try. It adds it but nothing works. Programming commands do nothing, even just "Start Cleaning" does nothing. It finds all 3 of my S9+ Roomba's but it won't control any of them. Not looking to make it work as I'm not interested in paying for a driver that I can do on HA or IFTTT for free, just an FYI if anyone was wanting to try with this model.
  5. They have been added via IP as well as SDDP it doesn't make any difference. Usually they were added by IP but most recently via SDDP after factory resetting them. Last week they deleted the drivers from the project and factory reset all T4s and now it's even worse, they do it 2x a day. I just went down to the gym to work out and the T4 there is back to the default room. I'm going to be honest, I literally have to leave the room because I just want to rip it off the wall and throw it straight in the garbage because it's so unbelievably frustrating. We are using Cisco Meraki for all wireless and our router. 3 of the T4s are powered by PoE and 2 are powered by AC, so that doesn't seem to matter. Some are on Wifi but most are on Ethernet. Also, all of them now do it at the same time, as I had the issue with the gym one; I came upstairs and the kitchen and bedrooms are both now also back to the default room. They are all on the same version and were just updated last week or so as there was some new version that was out, but it didn't do anything to help the issue. There's no Composer HE. I will check to see if they have spoken to Control4 yet about this as that was my next question for them. Both dealers are over 2 hours away and keep wanting to do everything on site but then I have to pay a "distance travel fee" and it's getting hard to justify as I've done that 3 times now and no improvement. Thought I'd post here in case any tips, otherwise they are being removed this weekend and I'm just going to replace their functionality with RA3 keypads and call it a day!
  6. We had 5 brand new T4's installed about a year ago throughout the house. They worked fine until maybe 3-4 months ago when we changed from an EA1 to Core3. What would happen, is the one in the kitchen would at least once a week just randomly reboot, and it would then show the default room settings. Wallpaper is gone, all customizations etc, just shows the Watch, Listen, History, Security, etc. You have to switch to another room then switch back and they come back. It was only the kitchen one that this would happen on, but slowly progressed to start happening on all 5 of the T4s and more frequently, to the point that it's an almost daily occurrence now on all of them. If you just leave it, it never recovers, you must switch rooms in order to bring it back. My wife is telling me to remove them all as she's sick of them not working and to be totally honest I'm pretty much at the same point. So far working with 2 different dealers, we have: - Removed all T4s from the project and readded them - Removed them; factory reset them on the unit itself, and readded them - Removed them; factory reset them; deleted the T4 driver from the controller entirely and forced it to download it again - Physically moved them to different rooms in the house, swapping them - Checked all logs including moments after one rebooted; there's zero mention of any issues or anything helpful they said I forget what else we have done but I feel like literally everything. Both dealers have basically put their hands in the air saying it shouldn't be doing that, but they don't know why it is and that there's only so much they can do if the logs don't mention any issues. Of course it never happens when anyone comes on site and when they log in remotely they say everything seems fine, even if I tell them to log in when it has just rebooted. Any other suggestions I can go back with as otherwise my weekend project is going to be patching drywall after I remove all of these as we are so frustrated that it has turned us off our entire Control4 system entirely.
  7. I have about 5 TCL TV's with Roku built in, and then 2 Roku Ultra. Out of the blue a month or two ago, what started happening is I'll press an action like "YouTube" or "Netflix" which starts the mini app on the Roku, but after launching the app, the remote does not control the TV/Roku anymore. I instead have to go to Watch > and then pick Roku TV, and THEN it works. If I pick a mini app it never controls it directly anymore (or it does, but maybe 50% of the time). Volume works and controls the Sonos audio without issues, and I can usually power off the room and turn it off, it just does not control anything if you launch a mini app from the remote. We have deleted the drivers, reinstalled them and readded the TVs and same thing. Some TVs are worse than others, but they all seem to suffer with this issue. I'm finding that I'm almost always just using the Roku remote now. My second question, is there any recommended streaming device to connect to the TV that works with C4 instead but where I can still have it turn the TV on or off from the remote? I factory reset one of the TCL TV's but it's annoying me as it says I must log into my Roku account to activate it and use it, and I'm kind of over that and don't want to anymore. It won't let me use Internet without activating it, so just wondering if an Apple TV or something else can be used instead and turn the TCL on or off without needing an IR blaster or the TCL TV to be added to the network.
  8. I use Home Assistant and Control4. I use the Generic TCP Plugin for Control4 and use it to make Webhook requests to Home Assistant. I have about 20 ZigBee shades that don't work with C4 so I have them on Home Assistant, and then I use Experience Buttons and webhooks to open and close the shades. I also use Home Assistant for Philips Hue as it supports Dynamic scenes which Control4 does not (the ones where you can press Play and they animate). I also use webooks to trigger those scenes, such as "When XYZ Advanced Lighting scene is invoked, run webhook to set the Hue lights to a dynamic scene" etc.
  9. I'm referring to Z-Wave nodes, not drivers. The nodes are not even bound to a driver, so any feature of a driver should be irrelevant. If I did this same exercise with a Zigbee device (physically unplugging a Zigbee Z2IR from power), the Zigbee page in Composer eventually would show "Offline" on the device, and 0% for the signal until it's plugged back in. That does not occur with Z-Wave, instead you physically unplug a Z-Wave device, and under Nodes in Composer it shows it green/online forever. My question remains, I was asking how frequently this updates or refreshes, as I unplugged a device more than 24 hours ago and Composer still shows it green and online under nodes when it's clearly not.
  10. I'm not referring to a driver, I'm referring to "Available Devices" where it shows all the Nodes you've added to the mesh. When you add a device to the mesh and hover over it, it says "Network status: online". On some devices they show "Network status: offline." If I physically unplug an outlet, it stays green saying "Network status: online" forever, where other devices do change yellow and say offline. But half of them never update. Like in my screenshot, you can see this one Z-Wave Node a Leviton Outlet, it says "Network status: online" and stays device status is ready, and shows a green icon, yet it has been unplugged from power since yesterday.
  11. Basically the subject, I have 3 plug in outlets that I added fine, then unplugged them to see how frequently the status updates. That was 2+ hours ago and they all still show Green in Composer and online. I've rebooted the Controller/Director and same thing. Is there a way to manually refresh, or how long does it take a device being offline for before it realizes it's actually disconnected from the mesh?
  12. Hi @JackD and @jimbones I am happy to report that the new driver does seem to solve the issue! I haven't noticed the lights getting out of sync at all since then which is great. We also found out that you CAN do scenes off the RA3 processor with the phantom buttons, but it's super confusing because in RA3 Lutron Designer software you must add "Phantom Keypad" or something like that to your project first, and then that shows up in C4 as a regular Lutron keypad but with 100 buttons or whatever it is. I have 4 C4 keypads, and then a ton of Lutron ones. It's not surprising if your dealer recommends the C4 ones since that's what they'd sell and work the best with C4. Ultimately with keypads it comes down to what you are controlling with them. If you're like me, where 95% of what they do is just control Lutron lighting, then 100% I'd go Lutron. But, if you're wanting the keypads to do non-Lutron things, like controlling Hue lights, or non-Lutron shades, or garage doors, etc, then the C4 ones are easier for the dealer to program as they can just connect the buttons to advanced lighting scenes or relays etc. With Lutron you 100% can do that, but not with bindings, instead it's all through programming, like "If keypad button 1 is pressed, then do these actions." FWIW when I say 95% of what my keypads do is control Lutron lighting, that's def true, but then I do have programming like including Hue lights into RA3 scenes and so on. If I was starting over in a new home, I'd still go Lutron I think. The ONLY downside with the RA3 Sunnata keypads is the buttons do NOT light up anymore. They have a light bar on the right of them to show if on or off (not controllable yet with the RA3 driver in C4, but RA2 you could), but the writing itself does not light up. I wanted to get ones for my theatre but had to pass because you can't read the buttons in the dark. The C4 ones let you actually change the LED button colour and light up the text. But... the Lutron keypads look way nicer than C4 ones.
  13. I haven't yet and only because they aren't a Lutron dealer they kinda have been throwing up their hands blaming Lutron. I have no issue with Caseta or when I had RA2. I'll reach out again and see if they can open a ticket. In terms of stability on RA3, it's rock solid and is a great upgrade and works very well. It's just the C4 integration that's poor especially compared to RA2. - No support for scenes, so can't create a scene on the bridge and trigger it from C4 - All keypads import into programming with actions like "double tap, triple tap" etc, yet none of those functions work. - No ability to control the LED lights on keypads at all - Keypads come up under connections and let you bind the buttons to other lights or relays, yet it doesn't work or do anything when pressing the buttons
  14. I've used RA2 in both of my properties that have C4 without issue for years. When the RA3 driver came out I upgraded my system in both homes to RA3. Every single day, I'll use a T4 or the C4 app, and it will show every RA3 light as being off. If you press the light icon, it turns it on, and then after 2 seconds immediately changes the value to 0% even though the light is still on. Same with dragging the slider from 0% to 50%, it turns on to 50% and then after 2 seconds slides back down to 0%. I'll run advanced lighting scenes that include 5 RA3 lights plus 5 Hue lights, and you'll see all the sliders on the Hue lights move properly when activating the scene, yet RA3 lights all stay at 0%. Reboot director, works perfectly fine as expected, until about the next day, then back to the same thing. It does this in both of my homes as well, EA1 at my condo and Core3 at my house and both of them have this exact same issue. I had 2 Dealers check and they couldn't figure it out other than saying the driver is v1.0 and probably buggy. (Edit: wanted to add they also are not Lutron dealers but just C4 so understandably not overly keen to troubleshoot Lutron stuff) What's really weird is everything does work. Like running advanced lighting does turn all the lights on and off properly as you'd expect, it's just the navigators and apps are always wrong or out of sync. This morning it's showing all the lights as being on, like the scene from last night, yet all lights are off. I reboot Director and now it's back to working again until probably tonight or tomorrow then it will stop again. I'm finding that I don't even use the C4 app anymore due to this and just use the Lutron one since it never works. It's more the T4s I have in each room of the house that is annoying having them not work! Other than a program that reboots Director nightly, is there anything else I can check or anyone else experiencing this?
  15. There's lots of posts here so apologies if this was answered as lots to go through. How do you set it so that it DOESN'T automatically add a H&T temperature sensor to every single room's navigator whenever you add it with the Shelly agent? I add these frequently as I want one for each room of the house, but it then goes and adds it to every single room. It's so tedious having to go room by room removing them, only to have to rinse and repeat a few days later when you add another one. I've tried checking all the settings, I don't see any option under the Shelly agent about not adding them to rooms automatically or anything. Maybe I'm missing something but why does it do this by default? Seems backwards to me!
