This is valid. Audio from IP cameras would be so nice. Or even 2way audio with hik (or any other brand) would be sweet

Hi everyone! The client is using a really old tv from their previous house. We have got it to work with all our sources apart from 1. The TV can only handle 1080i and 720p (NOT 1080p). When it is tackeld with a 1080p source it just flickers very quickly. As mentioned alll the sources are working but, when the EA5 is switched to it doesnt. I cant see the option in composer to change the resolution of the EA5. Please can someone help to find where this is. Or if there isn't then what gadget is able to downscale the video to 720p. Much appreciated if someone could help with this.

Hi everyone! This a question for a project we’re taking over. If anyone could help, this would be amazing. The situation is there is a rack on the top floor which has the Ea5, audio amps, networking etc… There is a unit on the floor below the top floor (where the rack is) which is responsible for the underfloor heating system. The system is working and the drivers are there for control4 integration. In previous projects where we have done this integration all that was required was a serial connection. Where the heating system is there is also the lighting panel. The previous dealer had only recommended running 1 Ethernet between the top floor and the second floor which is being used for the lighting. Moreover was thinking of putting an ea1 and a network switch where the heating unit is and just connect the serial port of the ea1 to the heating. My issue is that I was intending to use this: ea1 3.5mm to db9 connector ——>into an rs232 to rs485 convertor —> into the heating unit. the issue is the ea1 serial port is only allowing “3 way communication”. I’m not sure at all what this is?? please tell me if this would work

Control4 Hikvision Subnets Issue

The driver works. But the feed is only a snapshot. When pressed on in the app - the feed is just s still snapshot rather than a real time stream. And the events (motion etc) are not coming through in the bindings function. I have used the trial - happy to pay for it as long as we can get it working -
I have a CORE-5 and a Hikvision NVR which has 16 ports of poe on the back of it. All working great they record and perform what I wanted. But when it comes to using it with C4 - there is a fundamental issue. The poe ports on the back of the nvr are all on a different subnet. Leaving me with this: CORE5 - 192.168.0.20 Hikvision NVR - 192.168.0.35 The ports on the back of the NVR (cameras) - 192.168.1.2 up to 192.168.1.18 I am using the Hikvision IP camera driver from the control4 library. The Chowmain one is rubbish. The driver only lets you put in a IP address for the camera. Normally on other control systems I've used - all I have to do is use this as the IP (192.168.0.35:65001) 192.168.0.<NVR IP>:6500<channel num> I can't seem to get this into the connections tab. The other thing I tried is to add another subnet in the control4 project. At project level - add the subnet of the cameras (192.168.1.2) to the 'allowed networks section'. Then I tried to add the Ip of the camera eg. 192.168.1.4 But it just said offline in connections I have an option to move my cameras over to a generic POE switch meaning I have to accommodate for this Ip addresses (12 of them!) Or if someone knows a way I can fix this. It would be much appreciated.
