  1. Thanks All - I got it working using the room and selection of the Video input. Many thanks for the help, it really is appreciated. Thanks for the offer of a coure, Ill bear it in mind, but although its a steep learning curve in some regards, I do enjoy the challenge
  2. Thanks for this. Im unsure what you mean by the room control driver. I have tried detecting when input source is changed on the anthem av amp, but this appears not to work. Is there a way to see the actions being taken when I click on xbox for example - I cant see this anywhere in Composer HE, but it must be doing something because that changes the amp input and the projector input. If I could find the programming behind these buttons, I could add the additional actions. Apologies for what may appear a newbie question, Im currently on the steep learning curve of Composer.
  3. Hi, Relative newbie here, I have a home cinema system being used with C4. I have composer HE. On my Neeo remote I select Watch, and am then presented with the options of PC, Xbox, FireTV and Kaleidescape. When I select Xbox for example, the amp will switch to the right input and the projector switches to input 2 (one with a direct 4k 120hz feed as amp wont pass this). When I select FireTV, similarly it selects the right amp input. Im wanting the selection to also invoke lens memory on my projector, and the setting of the masking (both possible, as I can control both with different buttons set up), what I cant seem to do is find the programming behind the buttons on the neeo remote or find some place to edit them in Composer. What I would like to do is when I select the FireTV option in the watch menu, as well as selecting the right input on the amp, I want to add some additional tasks. 1. set masking to interval position, which is 16:9 and 2. set the projector to instalation No.2 (16:9 zoom) Similarly when I select X box I would also like this to set the masking and the projector zoom. Any ideas where I can get to the coding behind the buttons on the remote? I have tried creating routines to get round this by detecting the input change on the amp, and performing the commands on the masking and the projector as a result, but the driver for the Anthem 1140 doesnt seem to work that well in feeding back a change in input, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Having the instructions written into the selections within the watch menu would be neater. Any help much appreciated.
  4. Thanks all, really helpful and really quick answers. Looks like I'll be getting the home edition and configuring stuff. Another learning curve but I really enjoy things like this. I'll do some research into voice control of it too. Being able to ask alexa to play xbox and having the home cinema get itself ready by the time I get there will be quite cool if its possible.
  5. Is configuring the lights and projector settings etc something I can do myself? I've been used to programming all the other tech in my hone myself, but it seems with control 4 I have to get a dealer to do all the programming? Seems a little strange to have to contact my installer if I want to do something as simple as set a lighting scene for a particular video source etc. I've seen some software called control 4 composer home edition. Can I use this myself to achieve what I'm looking for?
  6. Hi, New to control 4 as I've just had a system completed for my home cinema while away. The installer sent me a quick video to show basic operation so when I get back off holiday I can use the system before he comes to visit and go through a bit more. He showed me a setting to change my aspect ratio of the screen between 2.4 and 16:9 (screen is a seymour tam2L). The projector is a jvc NZ8. The button also zooms the projector to the correct position for the screen. I also have a kaleidescape system, though I was led to believe its possible to integrate the cobtrol4 with kaleidescape so that the aspect ratio is all set when you select the film. If I have to manually set the aspectvratio each time it seems a little tedious, when controln4 is clearly able to control the projector and the screen. I was hoping that a single button press of "xbox" on control 4 could set my lights (they have control 4 switch/controller), set the aspect ratio, amp input and projector all to the right settings. Having a bunch of different aspect ratios for each possible movie style (16:9, 1.78, 2.4, 2.35, 2.39, 2:1) etc etc and having to select this manually seems a bit strange. Is this something I should expect control 4 to be able to do? Many thanks for any advice for a newbie. Regards Chris.
