I found much better reliability switching over to the serial connection. I believe it's the same C4 Driver, just they have to toggle IP to Serial instead.

Thanks for the response! To be honest, I never found the quality of voice good with the Chimes. I have 2 POE chimes currently and all I use it for is the video feed, but the quality of voice 2 way is terrible and has never been good from the start. Intercom is barely used in the house. Just wanted to make sure I could still get the stream feed live on cameras to pop up when button was pressed. That my family does use

If I added a G4 Pro Poe to my system, as I currently have a few other Unifi cameras in my house, will the C4 Protect Driver be able to display a live feed of the doorbell camera when its pressed? I know the driver states you can trigger an announcement, and play audio through speakers which is great, but the camera feed on the screens would be an added bonus.

Thanks for the quick replies. I don't believe I had night mode on, as when I would reset the POE power during the middle of the night, the T4 would turn on and then show the clock through the rest of the night no issue. When I reset the T4 today, I forgot about night mode. Thx for reminding me about it, as I have it disabled now after reset. I also had my dealer update me to 3.4.1 today with hopes that something in the software would be fixed. I've always had the clock as screensaver run continuously on all my touchscreens. so I really doubt I had it on night mode and no one in my family knows how to change that setting. frustrating for sure. If its a known issue with T4s I hope they don't give me an issue with an RMA if it gets to that point.

Just randomly I started having an issue with my 10 inch T4 TS. It appears to be going black randomly through the night. The way I resolve is to power recycle the port from OVRC and it boots right back up. Stays up for the day, but then goes dark again at night. Almost like a 24 hour thing. I switched ports on the POE switch, didn't help. I just reset the touchscreen, will see if that helps. Just curious if anyone else noticed such a bug or issue. I rely on the wall screen as my clock for the room and waking up at night and seeing it dark is concerning. Thx

I've had issues as well, though I have numerous HomeKit hubs (about 8 apple tv's and 2 HomePods). I found that if I change home hubs that usually fixes it, until it falls back on a different one that seems to have issues. No idea what causes the issues though. Frustrating for sure.

I just got installed the Home Connect Driver in my C4 System today. So far, mostly everything of my devices appear to be working properly. All my cameras and Doorbells are integrated as well. Does anyone know if activity notifications are supported for these Chime POE Doorbells? I see the option in the home app, and when I enable it, and then go back to options it's disabled again. Doorbell notifications do work through all my ATV's which is a huge plus over the SIRI Voice driver, among other things being the simplistic nature of setup. Other thing to note, when adding the Doorbells, it added 3 buttons in the room I assigned it to? An intercom button, a camera button, and one that just says the name of the doorbell. Any guidance would be great. Thx!

Would you know if I integrated this into C4, can I pass this over to HomeKit? I have the Siri Voice Driver from Driver Central, and mostly everything passes over. Contemplating switching to the HomeConnect driver as it seems more straightforward and allows my Chime doorbells to be integrated.

Does using Z2IO get around Liftmaster's Yellow button nonsense? Supposedly it requires extra adapters for it to work. I've been contemplating adding meross to get my doors onto HomeKit, but would rather integrate into C4 if I can as I have a HomeKit driver in my project. Ideally I'd like to just be able to tell my dealer, here are the things I need lets make it work. When I ask them about garage door integration, they seem a bit puzzled.

Can a control4 OS3.4 update be pushed via OVRC? if so, do you only need to update the director (in my case, CA10) and the other devices EA5s, 3, etc will update? or do you need to update each? Will touchscreens get the update?

Thanks for all the input and responses. I was able to resolve the issue by going into the Apple Home App, and removing the IP Control Bridge. This removed all the instances of the Control4 Remote in HomeKit. Then I went into the C4 app on my iPhone, toggled the IP Control off, then back on and it went through the bridge setup again. After adding the 8 remotes to the rooms the ATV's are, everything just worked again. Definitely an activation issue.

On a similar topic, I have 8 Apple TVs in my house that I use Control4 to control them with the native C4 IP Driver. One of the TVs is with a Halo Touch. I switched over to the IP driver so that I could get the voice control to work. All was well and good, until I changed my Apple ID password last night. Since then, I have lost all control to my Apple TVs from all remotes, app, t4s, t3s, etc. Running out of idea's of what to do. I've rebooted the ATVs multiple times, I logged out and logged back in with my Apple ID credentials, I rebooted my CA10 numerous times and nothing seems to bring back the IP control. Very frustrating for an end user not to be able to correct these types of issues on their own as changing a password can happen sometimes.

Has anyone experienced issues where when you press a button on the halo touch, you have to really press it firmly for it register? Sometimes you don't and you get a satisfying click, other times it may miss the press all together. I had issues with my left directional not always working. Just received the replacement today and noticed its better, but still not the same tactile feel the up/down/right have. frustrating for such an expensive remote.

Just wanted to confirm to the group, my C4 Dealer was able to remap the circle (record) and square (stop) buttons on my halo touch today to a custom command just fine.
