  1. How breaking a user facing, and mission critical, piece of software and leaving it that way for > 1 month is acceptable is beyond me.
  2. Savant has had Josh.ai integration.. https://joshdotai.medium.com/josh-ai-announces-savant-integration-295e0a06b285 https://www.strata-gee.com/josh-ai-savant-partner-on-advanced-voice-integration/
  3. There’s seems to be a lot of misconceptions about what Josh.ai is in this thread. Josh.ai has voice oriented hardware, but it’s a home automation hub and is technically just as capable as Control4 or Savant controllers. The odd ball factor is that Josh.ai leans into existing pro solution platforms to close integration gaps — for now. Most, if not, all of my automations for my home outside of my home theater are currently setup using my Josh.ai Core + their natural language scripts with a mixture of native and Control4 integrations. It works better than most of the competitors minus a few gripes I have. If Snap were to remove the control4 integration with Josh.ai, I would be forced to move to a competitor (like Savant) plain and simple. I have not upgraded my EA-1 to a core yet and won’t until I have to atm. I loved the Neeo remotes on launch, but SnapAV ruined the product over time. The Neeo remote is plagued by battery and networking issues and just didn’t evolve the way it should have. To get what I want, a Neeo like design with decent hardware, some form of platform portability, and good snappy UI — the AVA Cinema remote is targeting people like me. Control4’s offerings remain crappy tbh.
  4. There is a way to do this, but no one has made a companion app to do it with Control4. you basically have to have a companion app run in the background launching shortcut app URLs.
  5. Out of curiosity, how would this compare to an EA1. I’m guessing there’s no Halo Touch bundle?
  6. I’m a bit late to the party here, but the company that produced Orro switches is going through hefty financial issues and is essentially shutting down. I wouldn’t put your ducks in that bucket.
  7. I mean, they’ll probably just put a response delay on the mic for where ever you say the issue is happening. Also something you can do yourself.
  8. They are. When strictly looking at WiFi controls, there's the unfortunate side effect of not having compatibility with certain other systems such as Josh.ai.
  9. Same issue on my end. I actually believe it's more on the Sonos side. Sonos doesn't "instantly" wake and does take a period of time to adjust input (same applies to tv and other input channels). When Sonos is already playing audio playback from Josh.ai VoiceCast, it's perfect.
  10. For anyone looking at the above, I did attempt to use a Bond Bridge with a Haiku fan (BAFs), that did not work out well. The IR blaster only worked when within a 3ft proximity of the fan. Im still seeking a solution for Josh.ai and C4 integration atm.
  11. I can’t be the only one who tried to use a Bond Bridge with a BAF Haiku fan, and failed to see how the IR blaster needed to be within a 3 foot distance and odd angle to register with the fan right?
  12. When are the Halo Touches planned to release? I’m tempted to sell my fairly new Neeo remotes and just replace them with a Touch.
  13. No separate SSID or VLAN for the remotes. Specifically setup with a 2.4GHz band. We have a few different types of Access Points, but the nanoHD and the U6 Lite are the primaries. The remotes show the same behavior behind various in-wall and Mesh Pro APs (as a note). For me, it's a UXG-P + CloudKey setup. The setup itself didn't really change over a long period of time other than periodic UniFi software updates (performed manually). The timing of the disconnects did not seem to correlate with any of the updates. I did attempt locking them to a single AP so they wouldn't jump (just in case). That didn't help at all.
  14. A few months back, after a year of solid connectivity to my ubiquity APs, they randomly started loosing connection upon wake. My dealer’s suggested “solution” to this was to disable the Wi-Fi sleep mode in composer (they haven’t done it yet).
  15. Are you using the Chowmain driver for BAF? I’m unaware of a native driver or integration existing atm. Although, when talking with BAF support, they seemed to strongly suggest something is coming.
