RS-232 "Create New Driver" problem...

Recommended Posts

I tried to create a new serial driver for RTI´s AD-8.

I have the codes from RTI, HEX and ASCII... But I get this message all the time - "Decimal data can not be negative or contain characters"

Do I need to convert it some way?

Any idea?

So, are trying to create a Control4 driver using driver wizard? If so, hex codes need a '$' in front to signify HEX. If you are trying ascii codes it needs quotes "".

Eg. $01 $02 $FF $0D $0A

or

"!I01O02" $0D $0A

IF you're using:

01 02 FF 0D 0A

It assumes you're using decimal codes.
