REPOST: Control4 stuck input, video switching, KeyDigital KD-MSW8x12Pr

Sorry for the repost, but I am hoping to be more concise and get some answers:

The problem is a DVR video input which is stuck for 2 TVs and cannot be changed via remote controls.

I have a control4 system with switched video through 3 Keydigital Fatboy rack units.

4 DVRs + blueray, etc to many tvs

Zigbee and wi-fi remote control units

we've got 2 tvs where it's permanently stuck on a single dVR, regardless of what remote unit we try to use.

check of logs shows commands being issued. remote control units display a switch of DVR (they think it worked)

Manual switching using buttons on KeyDigital boxes works, but remote units can only control the DVR to which the TV is stuck, even if I switch input using manual method.

the series of switch boxes affected are labelled "Device IO Extender(Top)" in the control4 configuration (we have 3 sets, top, middle, bottom)

The input is #2

The outputs affected are #1,#2 (two TVs actually)
