wappinghigh
Hi guys. Need to install a brand new Alarm from scratch. New sensors everything.. Which C4 Alarm driver is the BEST..? No compromises. Gives the best flexibility and options? Most stable. etc etc.. Integrates with other security stuff like motion sensors, ekeys, and finger scanners whatever?? Only the best!!! hahahaha Cheers
SMHarman
As a reader not an installer I'm guessing you will get Elk as the answer.
Cyknight
NOT as an installer - I'd say a close call between Elk M1 Gold or Paradox EVO.

wappinghigh
I just noticed an iphone app for the Elk.. So the Elk M1 driver is the only IP one right? The others like the GE are just serial..???.
SMHarman
You mean the Elk is more difficult to install? No idea. I don't have an alarm. I just read fan like things about the rlk here.
Cyknight
No not more difficult, just less popular than the big three: GE, DSC, Honeywell. Of course my main insight here is from North America. And monitoring companies like 'out of the norm' units even less than security installers. Hardware can be more of a hassle to get - if I had a steady supply line I'd likely use ELK myself. There are other IP controllable security panels available mind you, though serial is far more dominant. mr. happy
Not a dealer, but I was looking at Napco and Elk at Cedia both seem very nice, Napco has a certified C4 driver and I was told that Elk just had driver.
Cyknight
The Elk driver has been around far longer than C4 certification - so it was never put through certification. No 'just' about the driver.
mr. happy
Of course not, was just trying to give my 2 cents worth of advice.
