Rracecarr1 Posted September 11, 2015 Share Posted September 11, 2015 I am an electrician and I have a customer that is a control4 dealer. I have wired 100s of these switches, however today while putting in a keypad dimmer I ran into a snag. It was 3 way 4 way 4 way 3 wayed. I tied the travelers together on the two your ways, sent the switch leg over to where the dimmer is going, on the black traveller wire, the traveller, or yellow on the red traveller. When I turned on the breaker my keypad dimmer flashed red on the bottom three buttons then the top three buttons flashed red. What in the h@$l is going on? I know you mentioned that you did 100's but that yellow is NOLY for the Auxilliary keypads (the 'dumb ones that aren't programmed, have no LEDs and one button) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On the three wire connecting the 2 location, I am sending the switch leg to other location on the black, red is tied to yellow on aux and keypad dimmer, on aux I have blue/white tied to nuetral, green to ground and again yellow is tied to red. At the keypad end I have red to switch,black to power, yellow to red traveller, white to nuetral and green to ground. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
