Problems with Chowmain weather drivers

I can no longer get any data from either the Open Weather Map or forecast.io drivers. I'm currently on 2.8, but they weren't working on 2.72 either.

Any ideas on how to resolve?

Open Weather Map error:

[string "Lua Code"]:315: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil) (ReceivedAsync)

forecast.io error:

[string "Lua Code"]:365: Unexpected character at Line 1 character 1: F (70) when reading object ({ or [ or ' or " or number or boolean or null expected)

Both drivers were updated a while back to resolve some issues.  Note that openweathermap made a pretty big change to their API which now requires a key to be entered into the driver's properties page.

Starting from 9 October 2015 openweathermap's API requires a valid APPID for access. Note that this does not mean that their API is subscription-only now - please take a minute to register a free account to receive a key. <http://home.openweathermap.org/users/sign_in>

I figured out the forecast.io issue - the API field had been cleared.

For Open Weather map, I don't see anywhere to enter an API or APPID.

My driver version is 8.2 - do I need an update?

Yes.  We updated the driver to 8.3 to provide the additional field.  You will need to reboot.

 

In future please submit a support ticket.  We pay and train Houselogix to support our drivers so that we can free up our time to develop more new cool drivers.
