enzeder
I was looking at maybe using some macros, but when reading the ComposerHE edition manual its says the following: Note: A unique macro cannot be edited or copied; only created or deleted. If you want to create a new macro based on another one, you must create a new one. So when it says a "unique macros cannot be edited" what does this mean exactly, a literal reading would mean you can't edit a macro once your have done it which makes no sense to me so I must be interpreting this wrong? Cyknight
You can edit Macros just fine Too little text to have context, but there are 'two' Macros, one being the 'programming' one you have access to in ComposerHE - the second is driver built-in Macro. That said the info is inaccurate for both.
enzeder
Thank you, have something to do over the holiday break now! This is where I got my info, see point 8. http://www.control4.com/documentation/Composer_HE_User_Guide/Programming_with_the_Macro_Agent.htm
Cyknight
~shrugs~ If I'm not mistaken you do not have the option to copy, but the whole POINT of the Macro is really to make it EASY to edit. Don't worry you can delete and add lines as you like.
jfh
You cannot copy a macro in HE, but you can create a new one and cut/paste code into it (though I don't understand why you would need to)
enzeder
Yes, happily creating macros now. Looking at the manual again maybe what they were trying to say is that you can't edit the name of the macro.
jfh
True - can't rename a macro. I would like to have this ability. Composer is inconsistent with what objects can be renamed (like lighting scenes and device names (Pro only)) and what can't.
Cyknight
Quote Composer is inconsistent with what objects can be renamed Well it used to be very consistent. Devices and rooms ('system' items) could be renamed, nothing 'agent' wise could be renamed. Those things that can be renamed among Agents right now are new and updated options.
