thepawnshop
I met a sales rep a couple of months ago that showed the replacement for the "candy bar" style remote but I have yet to see any info about a release date. I also so a nice 7" portable touch screen. Any idea when either of these items will hit the market?
panamagixxer
No idea, but I would kill for a 7" portable remote.

RyanE
The WiFi version announced in the post above is not a portable, but is a wi-fi version of the in-wall, that can use 110V and not need additional wiring.RyanE
panamagixxer
So, is C4 not hearing what customers want. Make a 7" portable "they will come" or "they will buy it". Movie anyone? (easy one)
RyanE
I didn't say there would never be a 7" portable, I just said that the announcement referred to above is not one.RyanE
akg4y
My dealer told me a 7" portable has been announced.. is this incorrect?
RyanE
The posts above yours were before CEDIA, where Control4 officially announced that we're going to be coming out with a 7" portable.RyanE
stash
Ryan, will the new 7" portable have a wall dock. I would like to use the "portable" as an in-wall until 80% of the time, but would like the option of being able to remove it and take it with me when I want control closer (like dinner parties). It would be nice to have an in-wall dock that would keep the unit charged.Any such wall mount available for the portable???

RyanE
There is a dock for the portable, but it is not a wall mount.RyanE
lippavisual
or you could recess a little shelf in your wall and keep it there until you "un-dock it".
stash
Ryan and others, thanks for your input. Ryan, can you bring this to C4's attentions as a wishlist item.
