rafa1985
I just got my EA3 controller and noticed that on the spec sheet said supports HDMI output 1.4. I am in the process of buying a 4K television that does HDCP 2.2 or HDMI 2.0 will this be an issue? They told me make sure everything is compatible. Cyknight
No that's not a problem - HDMI 2.0 (apart from being a software spec, not a hardware spec) and HDCP 2.2 are fully backward compatible with 1.4 specs. Now in reality, this can still give issues if you try to use a 2.2 SOURCE to a 1.4 'sink' (tv) or passing device (video switch, receiver, cable), but not the other way around, ie you can hook up a 1.4 spec device to a to a 2.0 sink without any issues.
