alanchow
Chowmain - Control By Web Driver Set ControlByWeb manufactures IP based monitoring and control devices that provide various inputs and outputs such as relays, digital inputs, analog inputs, 1-wire bus for monitoring of temperature & humidity, etc. Chowmain has integrated the X-310 and X-320 ControlByWeb devices into Control4 to expose their IO's for various integration requirements. X-310 Features 4 x relay outputs 4 x sensor inputs - NOTE – Control4 polls the sensors. As such it may take upto 5 seconds for the input to respond. Do not use the inputs if timing is crucial. These products are good for adding additional contacts, relays, temperature sensors and other analog sensors that are not native to Control4. What models will this work for? We have currently integrated the X-310 and X-320 models. We have a X-332 on order so we will be adding that to this driver licence shortly. We are looking at integrating other models as well so if you have one let us know and we'll work with you to integrate it. How do I find out more information about the driver? Please see the links below for more information about the driver. Chowmain Website Download X-310 Driver Installation Guide Download X-320 Driver Installation Guide How do I buy the driver? Ygelbman
Can I use this for a radiant heat application? Can I then get like a virtual thermostat and couple it with a temperature sensor ? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can then map the temperate from the control by web driver to the thermostat and the relay output from the control by web unit to the thermostat. bk
CharlestonC4
I am considering purchasing a Controlbyweb X-310 device so I can monitor my whole house generator. I would like to then have a notification via Control4 to tell me that the daily generator test ran. Also, I would like to be able to start the generator from Control4. Will this driver allow me to do both fo those functions?

I'm not sure how you generator works but if it is compatible with those IO's then it will work.
bdo21
Where you need to control quite a few motors (10+), does it make more sense to use one or two of these controlbyweb devices with the Chowmain driver or two Control4 IO extenders? Reliability is key but cost, cable run lengths and rack space are considerations as well. Thanks
alanchow
MAJOR UPDATE Added Universal ControlByWeb driver. This driver will dynamically reconfigure itself based on the ControlByWeb device it is connected to to automatically add in all the relays and contacts it supports. Also adds in everything as a variable so you can program against it. This driver works perfectly for the X-400 device which can expand by addon modules and other ControlByWeb devices (upto 100 inputs/outputs over 32 modules connected to the X400)

I have two systems (same owner) with this driver. Whenever the IP address field is modified (even re-entering) the same IP, the available relay connections in the connections tab all disappear. I submitted a ticket with DC, but curious if you've ever seen anything like this. Apologies for the necro post.

The only thing i can suggest is to make sure you're on the latest driver.
