ILoveControl
So I am trying to "Learn the IR codes" for the a LED strip made by www.basonlghting.com - ( has the best reviews on Amazon :)) - My E5 reads the codes and spews outs some impressive stuff: 0000 006d 0022 0002 0158 00aa 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 05e4 0157 0055 0016 0e2f Bla bla bla I learnt the entire remote which was painful but I did it. I bought the generic IR LED driver and set it up nicely. Now to find out doesn't seem like these IR codes that the controller learnt were correct. So I went and played with the "repeat count" as I had issues with that before it was set to 5 so I tried all the way to 1 and still nothing, checked to see if I had the IR bud in the right place and it it was in the right place. Running out of ideas here to figure out what I am doing wrong here to get this dam thing to change colors Any insights

alanchow
Some units require you send an ON code before the colour code. Our driver does support this so make sure you enter both codes into the driver and the driver will fire one after the other. Note this only works if the remote has discrete ON / OFF codes. Also make sure that the IR emitter is placed correctly on top of the IR window. Apart from that theres not much else to it.

Needed the ON and OFF codes in each of the driver instances ..... wow. 2. The remote obviously had much more range and I could point and click it would change. The bud I had to move with in mm of the IR window.... Thank you - it's working well
