Vacation Mode

Recommended Posts

I did a search for vacation mode in the forums, just kind of wanted to start with that before someone says do a search for it.

Lots of good information, and tons of links that don't work any more.

Are there some good instructions for vacation mode.  I just want to shut off all the internal lights completely, have the outdoor lights come on to the regular schedule, and change the thermostats.

Search for mockupancy

I saw that, but that isn't really what I am looking for.  Don't care about mimicking what I normally do during the day.  I just want to shut everything off.

So create a custom button that turns the inside stuff off and adjusts the tsat

Your outside lighting would continue as usual if it's already on a schedule

What does your scheduler event look like currently that turns your outdoor lights on?

1. make an all interior off scene

2. make a vacation mode variable

3. custom buttons/experience button to turn vacation on/off

4. edit the programing for the current outdoor light schedule to:

Keep current exterior light programing the same and under that

if vacation mode is on

>activate all interior off scene

>change thermostats to vacation mode or do whatever you want with the setpoints

Use an experience button rather than a custom button. Then you can see whether vacation mode is on or off...
