poseidonsystems
Hello all, I am having some trouble with the Amazon Fire stick obtaining IP commands and it getting them pretty delayed (almost a whole second). Any advice on what we should do? The IP connection is fine, but man the controls are really slowwwww. Thanks!
thegreatheed
The stick is slow. Replace it with a FireTV or another streamer.

TimEskilsson
I have had that exact problem since day one with my FTV. Incredible annoying. You loose it after while when you start using ATV :). So sad, love being able to call the apps as direct watch services but family can't cooperate with the delay once using it.

poseidonsystems
I had to install the new 4K version at a client’s house and it’s not working at an acceptable clip. It’s happening again and I called c4 support and it looks like it’s something with the amazon fire api that is causing a delay. From now on I recommend going with a wired version of the fire tv when you integrate with c4.Thos are the only ones that I’ve witnessed an acceptable navigation experience. David Paxton
The slow response has nothing to do with the device. The driver is not a true IP driver and is rely using ADB to send commands to the fire TV, ADB is slow by default.

Home Theater Advisors
I wouldn’t say it is a full second for us, but it is no where near instantaneous like it is on a Roku or appletv or anything else ip, serial or IR controlled. It’s really annoying when trying to spell something in the search bar
poseidonsystems
Yeah, I'm not recommending Fire TVs for customers any more with a C4 set up. Just can't sell the 1 second delay..
