Steelermedallion
I read a lot of good experiences using Kodi with Control4. And that the Chowmain driver (full) is really well put together What I can’t seem to tell if there is a preferred hardware setup for running Kofi...I think I be seen run on Nas, as separate Raspberry pi units or inning on jail broken clients. Would like recommendations on what to buy that you guys know work (overall) and specific does it work well in in the c4 experience I have my primary implementation coming up in Jan, and I like to get most of the hardware in place and get corresponding drivers installed at same time. Any links to guys who sell these simple but powerful boxes? Thanks as always guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
StroTek LLC
Kodi is very similar to plex.. and I use a Western Digital NAS to run plex server.. and then for clients I use Roku boxes... I hardly ever have issues with this setup

wappinghigh
Buy any linux box for 20-30 bucks and put something like this on it: but make sure the video card in the box can handle 4K/HDCP2.2 etc... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kodi-pre-loaded-Micro-SD-Card-for-Raspberry-Pi-3-LibreElec-XBMC-KODI/302469837638?hash=item466c9b7346:g:gaAAAOSwYVlaAu0T ...of course this^ LibreElec is specific for the Pie... These guys make em up (a pretty good box) preloaded and then you would buy a US plug pack> https://istreambox.com.au/ Or look at the specs of their Libreelec and the TX boxes and buy say a TX5 and load something like the above on that... (get details and downloads off LibreElec.TV)> https://libreelec.tv/downloads/ I still think the linux boxes are more stable but Alan says his driver also controls Android.. Hope this helps

Kodi is just an app, no issues for anyone to install, because of course you AREN'T trying to stream movies illegally. Any NAS would do... The reality is that anyone selling fully setup combos are either going to be your dealer doing it for you - or they'll charge an arm and a leg, and probably the fingers and toes on the other. Well or both possibly.

Voguesd
The most reliable Kodi out there are Nvidia Shield and Amazon Fire TV 4K. I highly recomend you stay away for the android boxes. As for HT integration, the Nvidia Shield is th e be tt er on e, as for Kodi access, Amazon Fire TV at $55.00 will be just the same .pm me if you need any Kodi help.
