Jas0r
Hi Just to confirm I have tired the RTSP and yes have the issues with not starting the stream. I switched to TS but get a 1 second lag which is beyond the audio delay of my audio controller. The RTSP was about 0.6s @videostorm Can you confirm the below HTTP you mean the TS in the image of the setup page below On 10/22/2019 at 9:19 PM, videostorm said: HTTP streaming with the Uray encoders
lippavisual
Disable rtsp and set FPS to 30. what are you using for audio?

Jas0r
Not sure why it was in the screenshot but FPS isn't 25 but can confirm it is 30. I am running the audio from a Kodi box into a Yamaha amp and then into the encoder. My Yamaha amp can do 500ms delay but Kodi can also force a delay. I am seeing if the Yamaha delay is ok (as it should be 600ms) or the Kodi delay. I am doing this as I have 5.1 in this particular room. All other rooms I am using spare Cat5 cables to send the audio back to a C4 8x8 matrix amp therefore the delay is imposed from the video signal. I tried disabling RTSP but I am still getting close to a 900ms delay in audio and especially when navigating Kodi is painful
lippavisual
I'd say you're having some major problems there, because you shouldn't be seeing that much time difference between audio and video. At the most I've ever had to set audio delay was 240ms. Most times much lower depending on your equipment.

The GUI modes are lower delay, but those modes are automatic in menus and you don't need to worry about matching external audio for them. There is a way to change the default delay for your source so that HTTP mode would be the same as RTSP. Just submit a support ticket and we will find the source option for that. Please include which encoder and decoder hardware you are using.
Jas0r
Thanks I have submitted a ticket. FYI since I made the time to draw it up attached is my layout
lippavisual
What you need to do for your AVR zones, is to purchase some HDMI Audio De-Embedders. That way you can take your Kodi outputs into them, pass the HDMI video directly to the Uray encoders, then use the digital audio outs and send those directly to the yamaha amps (using their built in delay). I'd bypass running any video through the yamaha in your setup, use it strictly for audio. This is all under the assumption that you're running the Kodi boxes directly to the amps for multi-channel surround sound from the HDMI signal.
