C4 Video Doorbells/keypad into Avigilon NVR3 and C4 App

I am planning Avigilon (http://avigilon.com/products/video-surveillance/cameras/h4-mini-dome/) (and other) cameras to go into the Avigilon NVR, (http://4a54f0271b66873b1ef4-ddc094ae70b29d259d46aa8a44a90623.r7.cf2.rackcdn.com/assets/Uploads/avigilon-nvr3-val-datasheet-en-rev7.pdf) and want to include the DS2 Control4 door stations  https://www.control4.com/solutions/products/door-stations to feed into the nvr for recording.

I of course also want the door stations to feed to the Control4 app for remote answering/door strike.

Is there a sub feed from the door stations, or from the Avigilon NVR3 back to the Control4 Controller so the camera input can be both in the C4 app and recorded?

I saw that, just was not sure it did what I described above.

I need the video stream to go to C4 AND to the NVR.

 

That in theory could happen at a)the camera level (checking if has its own substream), The C4 controller could send the stream back to the NVR, or the NVR could send a sub stream back to the C4 Controller. I'm just not sure which your driver would assist in doing.  It kinda sounds like it just allows for the Avigilon camera to come into C4?

Thanks for the quick reply. I will research from where the Avigilon mini stream can come (camera and/or NVR) and we can then see if your driver will pull it into C4.

It does show

Multi-stream H.264 and Motion JPEG

If your driver can pick up either of these, I bet we could use your driver for C4, and send the other to the NVR!

so I realize that the question we just answered is that the Avigilon H4 Mini dome can multistream, and thus have the video sent to both your driver and thus to C4 and the Avigilon NVR for recording simultaneously..

The other question is can the Control4 Door Stations multistream such that It's video can also go to C4 for video when the doorbell rings and simultaneously to the NVR for recording.

I'll check to see if the DS2 Door station can multistream, or if C4 controller can in some way forward the stream (doubtful).

Now THAT would be a nice driver enhancement..

This article does a nice job of explaining the C4 DS2 doorbell usage, and intimates that it indeed can also be set to go to the NVR to record, implying it multistreams.
