Shivam Paw
Hiya This driver provides an easy way to setup images with Control4 push notifications. The driver supports authentication with both types (Basic & Digest). This will let you setup any camera snapshots to be shown in a Control4 push notification! Your camera driver does not need to be updated for this to work. All you need is the snapshot URL, the authorization type (if required), the username and the password! (That notification was triggered manually, hence nobody at the gate) https://www.blackwiredesigns.com/store/control4-push-notification-images/ South Africa C4 user, Neo1738, chopedogg88 and 4 others 5

South Africa C4 user
Any chance you are going to update the driver to allow for authenticated URLs (I.e. passwords). Your work around is great for the DS2 but not easy / practical for some other cameras...

Your work around is great for the DS2 but not easy / practical for some other cameras... Well it turns out that the workaround for DS2s is temporary as C4 AutoConfig reverts the api Auth to basic every restart. As far as I can tell at the moment, the notification proxy doesn’t allow for a url to have any Auth attached to it but I’m looking into a few ways to get around this. Shivam Paw
A fix (ish) for the DS2 issue can be found here: https://www.c4forums.com/topic/30597-ds2-misc-commands-driver/ You can use that driver to automatically set the camera api auth to "None" whenever the project loads which seems like it will be the best option for now, until the notification proxy is updated. pkkaiser
When I do this (which is awesome BTW) I get a little thumbnail image in the iOS notification of the doorstation picture, not a big one like your example. When you click on it the C4 app opens and still no big picture. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

walterlara
Any possibility to make the url a variable that can be updated via programming? This driver + IFTTT could potentially grab image urls from other online services. Driver is amazing btw and thanks for it.

Jimeu
Great driver !!!! loved it. you get a larger image on apple Watch (the whole screen) the tiny image in notification, its just the way of iOS. Will it be possible to send in the push notification just a part of the image... kind of like zooming in a particular part of the image, to focus on the face. I am using the C4 Door Station as a source for the image, perharps the Door station driver, we could select what part of the screenshot is captured ? thank you.
