Changing location of light switches..

fjcush

Question

Is it possible to change switch locations on c4 system without reprogramming , and simply renaming , maybe using composer HE. ?

I have a number of switches in locations that I don't need them and I would like to reinstall where they would be of more use to me, what would be the easiest way to do this.

Many thanks.

A dealer has to do this but it's pretty simple drag and drop. I sell a renamer driver which allows you to rename devices but it doesn't allow you to change rooms.

Happy to help if interested. Just message me

Thanks for the speedy reply.

Just for the purposes of clarity. If I swapped out the switch from say the kitchen to the hallway , would the system then recognize the hallway light as the kitchen or does the system know when a change has occurred. ?

Thanks,

So in theory I could move kitchen switch to hallway and the system would still read that switch as kitchen and I could then  control the hallway from the kitchen toggle on my pad or phone ?
