jessecz Posted September 28, 2019 Share Posted September 28, 2019 I have installed two of these C4 AprilAire thermostats on my heat pump systems. The instruction guide says for the outdoor temperature sensor that it works with a wired one or a "Control 4 Value". Does anyone know what this Control4 Value is? I have tried programming the thermostat with the Control4 value option and making sure I have Control4 Weather Station added and configured in composer (this is the one that you put in your Lat and Long and it puts the weather forecast and current temp on your touch panels), but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have experience configuring this thermostat with another outdoor sensor besides the wired one. A heat pump doesn't do well in the winter without knowing the outside temp so I am trying to get it setup properly before it gets cold.
