Nest x Yale Lock

Any lock that directly integrates into C4 is viewable here:

https://www.control4.com/solutions/products/locks/

Note that these lock use a SPECIFIC module for Control4. The 'standard' smart lock come with a zigbee module that is NOT compatible with Control4 (if not a z-wave module). Yale actually sells the module (through C4) sepreately, unlike the others, though at the price of the module, you may as well just buy the lock direct froma  dealer anyway.

And no, AFAIK NEST compatible will not work with C4.

Note that there are alternate options of integrating a lock, others are likely to chime in with the details ;)

Thanks.  I will end up replacing this lock soon then and just putting it on my garage door or something.

please elaborate on what you mean

nothing with c4.  i got the august as soon as it came out and the wifi bridge.  had constant connectivity issues.  would not work remotely 90% of the time.  Would jam, etc.  Just did not think it was as good of a product as the yale ones.  maybe they have improved, but it ended up being just a dumb lock for me in the end.

thats good to know.  I liked that since I could use any hardware for the front.  I may check that one out.  Thanks!

exactly - that is why I chose it.  I didn't want a "visible" smart lock and this gave it more WAF - Wife Acceptance Factor

Is the current model that's sold as the 'August Smart Lock Pro+' what you have - is that considered the 3rd generation?

I ordered a few but nothing installed yet - how does it integrate with C4 (what functions does it have) and which driver are you using (there are multiple, correct)?  Also on their site it mentions have z-wave, is this something you're using or just WiFi connectivity through the Connect Bridge?
