Motorized Alta Window Shades

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Alta Window Fashions and their motorized shades? I am hoping to get a Control4 system sometime this year and had the house pre-wired for AV/Touchpads/etc. and would really like to do motorized blinds. We received a few quotes from different manufactures (Hunter Douglas, Lutron, etc) and Alta has the shades we like at a price we can stomach. They have a system called RemoteLift 2.0 and has an app available. I am not sure what they are using as far as wireless technology but called in and should be receiving a call in the next day or two to find out. I was just curious if anyone knows whether or not I can integrate with C4.

Thanks!!

they are using Sheerweave which is good quality but fairly standard.  If you scroll down their remotelift remote control looks an awful like an RTS Somfy control.  It may be rebranded.  Maybe even contact somfy and ask.  I have Somfy motors also with Sheerweave purchased from AVOutlet.com and it all works fine.  So if these are just rebranded Somfy motors you may be in luck but that would depend on their firmware.

that website mentions Somfy RemoteLift 2.0 for what its worth but I've never heard of it.

this 2018 Alta price list for Rollers clearly shows they are Somfy Motors:

Well that certainly helped.

We are actually looking at the Alta Window Shadings

Looks like a few different options for motors.

From My limited knowledge of these types of shades (I did rollers) those motors and remotes don’t look like Somfy

if there is IR control your dealer can write a 1 way driver and use IR buds.  It mentions RF - if so maybe https://bondhome.io/ with associated driver may work
