Waring192
Hello, my dealer is my friend which is lucky, well he was my friend well before he became a leccy and started his own business then branches into Control4 and Savant. He kindly doesn’t charge me anything as I normally wire everything up and he does his wizardry at the end (I know exactly what he is doing now). As I ask him quite a lot he asked if I could put things into diagrams with a basic floor plan etc, very basic as he know most of it already but I come out with very imaginative ideas! He said pen and paper is fine but I was wondering if there was a software (free or cheap) I could use? Ideally I would like to do the whole system and as I’m moving stuff to my new 42u rack it would be nice to have it in drawing also to work out the layout. i know there is Visio but I’m a Mac guy so ideally would be a Mac program or version. I know I can use Bootcamp or a VM but would rather have a Mac program. Ideally I would like 3 diagrams: - One with a floor plan. - A network topography one (I think that’s the right wording) similar to the attached one (random one I found via google) which shows what hardware is connected to what and how (IR, IP, Cat6, HDMI, etc). It does not have to be to scale. - A rack diagram Anything around? Cheers Edited November 17, 2019 by Waring192 Forgot to add image
sonic30101
I use visio and lucid chart but those are monthly charges which may not be something you are interested in. Here are a few I found but haven't used them personally https://www.google.com/amp/s/machow2.com/best-alternatives-visio-mac/amp/ Waring192
