Prior to theatrical release, titles are downloaded to home servers automatically, available for direct viewing as soon as studios give the go-ahead – just about the time new releases open on the big screen. The Red Carpet downloads stay locked in the box until then.

Red Carpet has approximately 50% of the major studio releases in any given year, on average, and it continues to negotiate deals with additional studios. Current content providers are Warner Bros, Paramount, Fox, Lionsgate, MGM, Annapurna, and STX.

Movies cost $1,500 to $2,250 each for up to two showings within 36 hours.
