Time2Jet
I know I’ve been asking since July, but figured I’d ask again. A member said this request was being addressed in August. I just worry that maybe it’s for conflict of interest reasons that the driver hasn’t been updated. The current Caseta pro bridge device limit is 75. The C4 driver still only supports the original 50. Doesn’t seem like that’d be a huge deal, but who knows. My workaround idea is to add a second bridge, but that renders the Lutron app control half useless. Unless maybe I just move bedrooms or exterior lighting over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Time2Jet
I'm sort of bumping this... but more asking a question. Can I try to hack the driver via a text editor? I looked at the code and it frankly doesn't look crazy, just a lot of lines to add. Most can be cut and pasted.
The Good Guy
Use the RA2 Select drivers.
Time2Jet
Use the RA2 Select drivers. Have you done this with Caseta? I assume I add the repeater and then the devices. But how to I get the devices to ID? Does this eliminate the need for a bridge? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Good Guy
You need to read the Driver doc page. It's all there. 1) Configure all devices on the caseta bridge first. Add and name all of them; 2) Enable Integration or Telnet Support on the Advanced settings (or something like that); 3) Add the RA2 Select Bridge driver and configure it's IP; 4) Add the devices to your project using either Caseta or RA2 Select drivers (Lighting, Switch, Fan etc). I would suggest only using RA2 Select drivers as they work the same; 5) Open the Caseta app and export the Integration Report (something like that). This will give you all the IDs 6) Go to Composer Pro and do the correct bindings. That's all. Time2Jet
Time2Jet
This will let me bind IDs over “50”? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds like all I need to do is swap out that driver for the RA2 repeater? I’m really appreciative, just confused. The Good Guy
Again, go ahead and read the driver's documentation. It will help you understand its capabilities and limitations.

I'm trying not to have to re-identify 70 devices.... ughhh...
The Good Guy
If you already have a working Caseta system integrated with Control4, you will have to rebind all your devices from the Caseta Bridge driver to the RA2 Select Repeater driver. But that's all there is to it.

I’ve been struggling with this “50” ID limit since July with having to control several devices outside of C4. Time2Jet
I do have Caseta completely integrated with the Caseta Pro Driver. So I added the RA2 Select Repeater and a single Switch to a room (chose 1 that is already ID’d above 50). Maybe it’s the wrong RA2 driver? I bound that switch and nothing. What am I missing here? Time2Jet
Guys... I have the weekend to try to get this working. I’m pulling my hair out. Any more help would be so appreciated. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Good Guy
I have never actually attempted to add over 50 devices to my caseta because I use 2 bridges. In theory it should have worked. Assuming you have added the correct IP address to the RA2 repeater Driver, here are a few steps you could try:1) Bind a device with an ID lower than 50. See if that works.2) Use a R2 Select Dimmer driver instead of the caseta driver.

It was a switch and I used the Caseta Switch driver, I’m going to see if the RA2 Select driver works as well. It might allow for additional features. I’m contemplating whether I even need to move 1-50 from the Pro Bridge binding. Think of reasons why or why not? What a great help you’ve been. Many many thanks. This is genius. The Good Guy
I doubt there is any extra functionality or variables. The only driver I use from the RA2 Select suite is the Fan one.Cant beat a solid 4 speed fan controller for $40.
Time2Jet
I do use the 4 speeds on ceiling fans, but these particular ones are simple bathroom exhaust fans. Regardless, this is huge for me. You solved a problem I’ve struggled with since I installed my C4 system (post Caseta). So I guess it doesn’t matter which driver (Caseta vs RA2) for the switches, dimmers, Picos and fans? Preference? Do you agree that I don’t necessarily have to rebind devices 1-50 from the Caseta Bridge and only bind IDs 51+ to the RA2 Select repeat driver? I’m trying to predict issues and can’t think of any so far. Might be cleaner to have all on RA2, but I can’t otherwise think of a reason. During some programming firing, a few devices lag with the Caseta Pro Bridge, but a hardly enough to waste a painful amount of time, plus regardless of which driver, they still ultimately have to go through the Caseta Pro Bridge. Thanks again @The_Good_Guy ! Nice save pal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
