Our SR-260 remote with a rechargeable battery will not turn off our tv. it turns it on and all other functionality appears to work. The TV's remote turns off the TV very briefly and then it comes right back on on its own. I tried rebooting the remote. Any ideas?

Have you had any C4 programming changes done recently ?  Maybe something that (in error) is sensing the power state as off and programatically turning it straight back on ?

If not, try unplugging the TV from mains power for a few minutes, then plugging back in and see if that changes anything.

I'd look to see that CEC control is turned off on the TV.

^^^ This !!  maybe CEC got re-enabled after a firmware update.

Yep, or specify what TV it is, what it's control type is (IR or IP, or serial).

 

If it's a Samsung, there may be a bad setting in the driver associated with art mode.
