You also could add Experience Button (UIButton proxy) drivers in your project that you would then favorite, and have their programming switch your remote to a different room.

The big drawback to that is that those same favorites will appear on your T3 touchscreens and on-screen, and will still cause your remote to switch rooms (which may or may not be what you'd want).

What if you wanted to implement this functionality on multiple Neeo remotes? How would you know which remote pressed the button?

NEEO only supports 2.4GHz from what I’ve read.

This is correct. 2.4 has a more widespread spectrum that penetrates materials better than 5 GHz which is why Control4 wanted to stay away from 5 GHz with the Neeo.

I had some non c4 Neeos before and i like the c4 neeo aswell. (got one) but there is still so much potential left for this device.

Unfortunately, that's where this breaks down and Remote Focused Buttons work better, as they are only on one specific remote.

We have 4 TS3 ~ had issues with the Nero when given one to test early days.

Are we saying now that a neeo is worth buying ?

I replaced my recently installed T3 in our primary watching area and couldn’t be happier. For things where I need the app, my phone or iPad are always nearby, but this remote is far more responsive for AppleTV controls and volume.  Even able to setup custom buttons for aspect ratios and lighting scenes for direct access while watching so there are fewer steps for these frequently used items. I wouldn’t mind a way to lock the screen as someone else suggested because I have inadvertently hit the custom buttons while watching and the room lights come on full bore by accident.

Reset NEEO: press and hold the power button until it resets (it feels like 30 seconds or more, but it will go)

Thanks! This was useful.  Mine hung for the first time...

I held it for about 5 seconds and it went off.  Stayed blank forever.  Held it for another second or two and it came back on...

How does one change the WiFi Network on the Neeo? I want to try it on our 5G network and see if that is an improvement...

  1. Turn off the remote, then press the physical power button to turn it back on again.
  2. While the remote is starting up, press and hold the physical BACK button until you see the prompt, “Hi, nice to meet you."

You have to go through first time setup to make a network change.

Now that we have volume feedback on the Neeo, is there any technical limitation for doing the same on the legacy remotes (260, etc)?

I think the excuse would be that it would use too much battery... dunno

why would it be any different than showing the percentages like for lighting?  lights have real time feedback on the legacy remotes...

Why would they continue developing the products when the next generation remote is out?

I would be surprised if they didn't continue to develop the 260 as an alternate to the neeo.  Without any buttons Neeo is a niche product.  But maybe 260 just isn't sophisticated enough...although it seems like it might be (based on lighting feedback).

Its right now not possible to add rooms to the actual Zone, like sr260. Am i right?

That is correct.  Session management is not available currently, although it is an oft-requested feature, and one likely to be released in the future.

Has anyone been noticing lockup’s in their remotes? Mine has frozen twice this week. Never had the problem before and my system has not changed.
