mostafa azmoon
Hey guys I'm looking for a solution in different locations(100-300 meters distance)I need dry contact push buttons and we can't do wiring. Using existing network any solution to get feedback in central location from push buttons when pressed? It's 7 different locations in a Hotel

zaphod
What do you mean by "we can't do wiring" and "using existing network" as those seem contradictory? Do you mean that you want to use Wifi to read the buttons? Or do you have ethernet in the area? Or do you need to use Zigbee?

We can't add new wiring but there is existing Ethernet in all areas
DIEHARD
Where are you wanting to put the push buttons in relation to where the Ethernet is located in the rooms? It sounds like you already have the wiring needed but it's just not where you need it in the room? Will the button be on the wall, in a box on a desk? Dry Contract is open/close so existing cat5/6 runs could all be viable to bring back to a central IO Extender which would be plugged into the network.
