0 blub
There is nothing better than IP Control4 via the Kodi paid driver.I use FLIRC USB on conjunction with Control4 to control MPC classic for HDR - it works OK and it can if course be used for Kodi as well but IP is like a million times better
0 lippavisual
Only on Android, I believe. You have to be able to load the IRUSB app on the device.
0 zaphod
Everything in Kodi should be available via their API https://kodi.wiki/view/JSON-RPC_API Or do you need to do control of the PC in other ways outside of Kodi?

Hey , no , i just need to control Kodi . But i haven't found a way to press for example the OK button on the NEEO so it shows the Menu while playing a movie. I thought it would be able to do via the IRUSB . But now i know it doesn't work

But the OK Button from the Remote NEEO can not be used for the Menu button. Not sure if this will work, but there’s an addon called Keymap Editor. Perhaps download that and then map one of the red/blue/green/yellow buttons to do what you want? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

0 blub
I will. If that's the case it's a bug that need fixing and not an IR workaround Germs
0 Cyknight
Well, let's clarify. You're wanting to use the OK/Select button to pull up the menu? Or is that button not functioning AS the OK/Select button? The first isn't a bug, nor should you use that button for that function (because you wouldn't be able to select anything anymore). I can also go to a movie and press the OK/Select button and the movie starts. Once the movie has started though . the OK/Select Button is not working anymore. On other remotes , like the harmony for instance , you could still use the OK / Select button to pop up the Kodi Menu to change Subttitles, press play , pause , stop , fast forward , change languages , audio , etc... that's what's not working. In which case that is dependent on the Kodi version you are using, the skin and the player you have. For example I have Kodi on an Nvidia Shield and Apple TV. On the Nvidia shield I have Kodi 17.5 using Arctic zephyr 2.0 and the ok button works as you want on in neeo remote in that once the movie starts you press ok it’ll pause the movie and bring up the osd to do play/pause/subtitles/vide/audio etc. On the Apple TV however which in on 17.2 with Arctic zephyr 1 to get the osd to pop up, you have to press ok which pauses the movie then press the up arrow to get the osd. 0 blub
That the intended behavior. The driver uses JSON RPC to communicate. To bring up the menu to select language, video option during playback you need to setup custom buttons for the Neeo.Actually the Neeo is not a good remote for DVR and Kodi so CE it does not have e ough physical buttons - on a real remote I can use the keys I need for daily use with my eyes closed - that is impossible with the Neeo because I have to look at the screen - the Neeo in general is a failed product imo

Right now i am using the GUIDE menu on the NEEO to have it pop up. It's already a pitty i have to say that it is impossible to rename those Buttons you create on the Neeo Screen. No there probably isn't (unless it's a version/skin thing). This is due to the inability to assign what that button does in and of itself. If anything else, I'm not sure they SHOULD - too easy to mess up a driver by accident. (to be clear, the infrastructure cannot support TWO commands on the same device on the same button to begin with). From what I can tell your issue isn't a DRIVER issue, it's a KODI limitation

Just curious what version of Kodi are you on and what skin are you using?Have you tried press and hold and see what that does. Or try a new skin perhaps arctic zephyr 2 (remember to clear keymap editor to see if it’ll work).Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
